Abstract:
An apparatus for extruding helical teeth in a gear blank includes a press including a die plate and a die base, the die plate being movable along an axis relative to the die base, the die base supporting the gear blank. A mandrel, aligned with the axis and moveable with the die plate along the axis, includes a surface that includes helical die teeth. A servo motor drives the mandrel in rotation about the axis to the required helix angle as the mandrel moves axially relative to the gear blank.
Abstract:
A game table for table hockey has a planar playing surface bounded by walls, wherein the inner sides of the walls are lined with a layer comprising material having satisfactory sound deadening properties and being resilient enough to provide satisfactory rebound of an object when said object strikes the layer. The layer is composed of material selected from polyur ethane polymers having a durometer reading of 78.+-.5% on the Shore D Scale or natural or synthetic rubbers having a durometer reading of 40.+-.10% on the Shore A Scale.
Abstract:
This invention provides a novel process for the preparation of clavulanic acid and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters thereof which process utilizes the preparation of the tertiary-butylamine salt of clavulanic acid optionally in the form of an acetone solvate and subsequently converting said salt into the desired product.
Abstract:
An orthopaedic surgical instrument for use in disassembling an orthopaedic prosthesis includes a main component, a rod, and a spindle. The main component has a housing and an elongated body extending from the housing with a passageway is defined in the elongated body. The rod has an elongated shaft, with a greater length than the elongated body, extending from the head of the rod and configured to pass through the main component. The spindle threads into the housing to move the rod along a longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A modular knee prosthesis system includes a femoral component having a stem, a plurality of different sizes of sleeves mountable on the stem, and a plurality of different sizes of augments mountable on the femoral component. The system is modular, and provides the surgeon with the option of distally offsetting the joint line by selecting the size of sleeve that will provide the desired joint line. The different sizes of sleeves have different axial lengths but share a common geometry along a substantial part of their lengths so that the same bone cavity will accept multiple sizes of sleeves.
Abstract:
A tibial orthopaedic prosthesis assembly for use during performance of a knee replacement procedure includes one or more tibial augments configured to be coupled to a tibial tray. Each tibial augment includes an exterior side surface of varying angulation relative to a top surface of the tibial augment.
Abstract:
The automated generation of code decoration for a body of code under review. Upon accessing the body of code, the system evaluates portions of the code for context. For at least some of those portions of code, the system identifies a decoration corresponding to that context, and adds the identified decoration to the body of code in a manner that the decoration is visually associated with the corresponding portion of the code.
Abstract:
A bearing seat includes a cylindrical scat defining a cylindrical pocket for at least partially containing a bearing. The cylindrical seat includes a cylindrical first wall and an end wall extending from the cylindrical first wall. The cylindrical first wall has an inner face and the end wall includes an integral shim extending outwardly therefrom. The integral shim is configured to contact a side of an outer race of a bearing such that the side of the outer race of the bearing seats firmly against the integral shim.
Abstract:
An aqueous solution of sodium borohydride, sodium hydroxide, and an anionic polymer is useful for the reduction and separation of metals in wastewater and it is hydrolytically stable for a period of six months. It may also contain an alkali metal aluminate or alum. Thus, a one-package treatment of wastewater is provided by the invention described herein.
