Abstract:
A bottle has a body intermediate a neck and a closed bottom of the bottle. The body has an exterior surface defining a circumference of the body. The body includes a plurality of panel segments. Each panel segment has an upper panel end, a lower panel end, a length extending from the upper panel end to the lower panel end, opposite longitudinal sides, and a panel centerline extending at a substantially constant acute angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the bottle. The panel segments are disposed generally side-by-side around the circumference of the body. The exterior surface of each panel segment may be substantially planar along the circumferential width of the panel segment.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the continuous modification of polymers in the flowable state by electron radiation, includes a device configured for converting polymers into the flowable state, a forming device and at least one irradiation device structured and arranged to provide electron radiation in a region of irradiation. Additionally, the apparatus includes at least one cooling device, a radiation guard and supply and discharge lines inside the radiation guard. The supply and discharge lines realize a continuous transport of the polymers in the flowable state at least through the radiation guard into the region of irradiation. Additionally, the supply and discharge lines realize a continuous transport of one of polymers remaining in the flowable state and modified at least inside the radiation guard and solid formed and modified polymers out of the region of the irradiation.

Abstract:
A system and method for monitoring remote computer access and associated costs is provided. The system includes a remotely located communication server in communication with multiple host computer networks and in communication with a network access server. First and second memory devices contain a list of authorized users for the host computer networks and a user log for use by a billing computer to generate bills. The method includes the steps of creating starting and ending time stamps for each authorized user accessing a respective one of the multiple host computer networks and creating a user log to generate bills and monitor host computer network usage.
Abstract:
The invention relates to new aromatic/aliphatic and/or alicyclic copolyester amides with high molecular weights, without crosslinking. A subsequent solid phase condensation is avoided or is greatly limited in time. The occurrence of thermal decomposition reactions, dark discolorations of the polymers as well as the formation of block structures are avoided.
Abstract:
Described are implants for placing in a body, tools for delivering the implants, and systems and methods for using implants and tools for placing in a body and more particularly to nasal implants, tools for delivering nasal implants, and systems and methods for using such implants and tools. A tool may include a hand-held implant delivery device that holds, moves, orients, inserts, or shapes an implant. An implant may be a biodegradable, longitudinal implant that may be oriented for implantation by an implant delivery device.
Abstract:
A slider comprising a body having an air bearing surface (ABS), wherein the ABS extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge of the body. The slider comprises a transducer supported by the body and positioned near the trailing edge, wherein the transducer comprises a pole tip partially extending from the body. The slider comprises a surface defined in the body and forming the trailing edge, wherein the surface comprises a plurality of segments. A first segment of the plurality of segments extends from the ABS and is offset from a portion of the pole tip recessed within the body. The first segment is offset from the pole tip portion by a lesser extent than any other of the plurality of segments.
Abstract:
A snow pusher attachment for use in conjunction with a straight blade angle-type snow plow mounted to a work vehicle. This pusher allows a work vehicle to capture, contain, and relocate large amounts of snow very quickly and efficiently. The attachment consists of side panels, connected by horizontal members between. This pusher attachment is secured to the snow plow by bracket assemblies, attached to the upper edge of the snow plow that engage hooks on the upper, rear portion of the pusher attachment. The attachment does not require the operator to exit the work vehicle to secure or release it from the snowplow. Accordingly, the attachment allows the quick and repeated conversion of a snow plow into a snow pusher box and visa versa.
