Abstract: An outer needle assembly 10 comprises an outer needle 48 wherethrough an inner needle 16 passes, and a passage forming member 50 connected to the outer needle 48 and including a valve body 64 inside such that a first internal space 78 on a distal side of the valve body 64 is longer than a second internal space 79 on a proximal side thereof. A ventilation path 80 for discharging air to an outside communicates with the first internal space 78 near the valve body 64. The first internal space 78 comprises: a puncture part 56 formed in a puncturing portion of the outer needle 48; a tapered part 57 formed on the proximal side of the puncture part 56 with an inner diameter increasing toward the proximal side; and a small-diameter part 89 formed on the proximal side of the tapered part 57 with an inner diameter smaller than or equal to that of a proximal end of the tapered part 57.

Abstract: There is provided a technique for detecting leakage in extracorporeal blood circulation while suppressing increased cost in a dialysis device. A dialysis device includes an artery-side blood circuit, a dialyzer, and a vein-side blood circuit. The dialysis device detects an abnormality based on a difference between theoretical value and measured value of a blood concentration in the vein-side blood circuit. The theoretical value of the blood concentration in the vein-side blood circuit is specified based on blood concentration and blood flow rate in the artery-side blood circuit and a water removal rate in the dialyzer.

Abstract: A mutant glycine oxidase is obtained by substituting at least one wild-type amino acid sequence derived from thermophilic bacteria belonging to the family Bacillus with another amino acid, and has the following enzyme properties. Molecular weight: 40,000±2,000 daltons by SDS-PAGE. Optimum temperature: 45° C. under the condition of pH 8.5 in presence of pyrophosphate. Optimum pH: pH 8.0 under the condition of 37° C. in presence of pyrophosphate. Thermal stability: Stable up to 70° C. under the condition of pH 8.5 while retaining for 1 hour in presence of pyrophosphate. pH Stability: Stable in the range of pH 5.5 to 10.0 under the condition of 4° C. while retaining for 24 hours in presence of pyrophosphate. Specific activity: 1.2 units/mg or more. Kinetic constant Km: 0.2 mM or less.

Abstract: The present invention provides a needle tip protector of a novel structure for an indwelling needle, which enables improvements in safety, etc. as compared with conventional needle tip protectors. Abstract: A biological sample or drug stored inside a frozen storage container is not susceptible to contamination.
