摘要: A method and system for a network node for attachment to switch fabrics is described. The system includes an access unit to provide access to communications from an external network, a classification element to label received packets with information identifying an associated flow and queue, a mapping element to place the packets into one of a plurality of queues based on the label identifiers, a scheduler to schedule packets in the queues for transmission, and an encapsulation element to encapsulate the scheduled packets into uniform size frames. The uniform size frames may then be transmitted to a next destination through a switch fabric.

摘要: A diagnostic system monitors the status of other processes over a computer network by collecting status and configuration data, analyzing the data and providing diagnostic recommendations when necessary. The diagnostic system includes a collector module, an analyzer module and an administration client module. The collector module collects statistical data and configuration data from each monitored process and populates a plurality of source data tables or worksheets. The values of the source data are processed by the analyzer module, including component algorithms, which generate a plurality of individual component indexes each associated with a specific aspect of the processes performance. The component indexes are then processed using a weighting algorithm to form a composite index reflecting the overall health of the monitored process. If one or more of the component index values exceed a predefined threshold, the indexes and configuration data are provided to an overall assessment table which identifies the process state which is true and generates one or more diagnostic recommendations, the output of which is stored in memory and is directly accessible to the administration client module. The administration client module enables the display, upon user query, of any of the source data, configuration data, component and composite indexes, and diagnostic recommendations in a variety of different formats as well as searching for the same using any number of specific queries.

摘要: Methods, apparatus and systems coordinate reservation scheduling information of a reservation system with personal management/organizer application. A reservation coordinating module, preferably integrated with personal organizer application, is configured to provide a user with the ability to direct the creation, deletion, modification and viewing of reservations from the user's personal organizer application. The module communicates requests from a system on which the module is installed to the reservation system and receives responses therefrom. The module automates storing or modifying associated appointments in the data structure of the personal management application in conjunction with successful reservations creation/change operations communicated with the reservation system.

摘要: An antenna system comprising a feed array, a subreflector and a main reflector which are oriented to define a side-fed dual reflector antenna geometry. The feed array is comprised of a plurality of separate feeds which are aligned on a predetermined contour. Each feed array is coupled to a feed network which acts to combine the illumination beams of clusters of a preselected number of feeds to produce a plurality of composite illumination beams. Each composite illumination beam is directed to be incident upon a separate preselected location on the subreflector which directs the composite illumination beams towards the main reflector. Each composite illumination beam is reflected by the main reflector in a preselected direction so that each composite illumination beam forms an antenna beam that impinges a predetermined coverage area on the Earth. Each antenna beam defines a separate coverage cell in the coverage area, wherein the position and orientation of the feeds, the subreflector and the main reflector provides antenna beams over a full Earth field of view coverage area where each antenna beam is approximately symmetrically shaped.

摘要: A belt (28) is moved into contact with a sheet (70) to be fed from the stack (18) under the control of a solenoid (48), which when energized causes pivoting of a crank mechanism (42) and an pulley (26) which supports the belt (28). The belt (28) frictionally engages the sheet (70) as to separate it from the stack (18) and move it into engagement with feed rollers (56) of a transport mechanism. The belt (28) is then retracted from the sheet (70) which is moved away from the stack (18) by the feed rollers (56). After a predetermined time period, the belt (28) is moved into contact with the next sheet of the stack (18) to be fed and the process is repeated until the desired number of sheets have been fed from the stack (18). The belt (28) is driven so that it rotates continuously during the pick operation and is brought to rest on retraction of the belt (28) after the final sheet has been picked from the stack (18).

摘要: A method of reducing particle generation from the thin coating deposited on the internal surfaces of a deposition chamber which undergoes temperature variation greater than 100.degree. C. comprising maintaining the temperature variation of the internal surfaces low enough during the process cycle to keep thermal expansion stresses between the coating and the surfaces under 500 MPa. For titanium nitride deposited on stainless steel, this means keeping temperature variations under approximately 70.degree. C. in a chamber that may be heated to over 350.degree. C. during a typical processing operation. Preferably, a supplemental heater is mounted behind the upper shield and controlled by a temperature sensitive element which provides feedback control based on the temperature of the upper shield.
