Abstract:
.alpha.-Bromoacetophenone-oxime-ethers are prepared by reacting acetophenone-oxime-ethers with a brominating agent at from 20.degree. to 100.degree. C., in the absence of light. The .alpha.-bromoacetophenone-oxime-ethers obtained are valuable starting materials for the preparation of drugs, dyes and pesticides.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for measuring the electrical resistance of a glow plug, wherein a test current is set by closed-loop control to a constant value using a constant-current source, and is directed through the plug. A value of the electrical resistance of the glow plug is determined by evaluating a feedback signal of the constant-current source.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a diesel fuel filter heater comprising at least one PTC element, in a motor vehicle. According to the invention, a glow plug control device is used to generate an effective voltage from a vehicle system voltage using pulse width modulation, which is then applied at the filter heater.
Abstract:
A method for laser fusion cutting of a metal workpiece including applying a laser beam to the workpiece, where a kerf is melted in the workpiece by the laser beam and a laser beam diameter in a working point is configured to expel molten material from the kerf without cutting gas.
Abstract:
A method, of resolving a location from an ordered list of location reference points being representative of nodes in an encoder digital map and each having attributes representative of a specific line or segment in the encoder digital map emanating from or incident at those nodes, is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the method includes (i) for each location reference point, identifying at least one candidate node existing in a second digital map, and, using the available attributes of that location reference point, identifying at least one candidate line or segment existing in the second digital map emanating from or incident at the candidate node, (ii) performing a route search within the second digital map between: (a) at least one of said at least one candidate node and the corresponding candidate line or segment emanating therefrom or incident thereat, and (b) at least one of a candidate node for the next location reference point appearing in the list and the corresponding candidate line or segment emanating therefrom or incident thereat, and extracting from the second digital map each line or segment forming part of the route so determined between the candidate nodes, (iii) repeating step (ii) for each consecutive pair of location reference points up to and including the final location reference point appearing in the list. Preferably, the route search is a shortest path route search, most preferably operating on respective pairs of successive candidate nodes, and includes a way of ensuring that the corresponding line or segment of the first of the pair of nodes forms part of the route resulting therefrom.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electric toothbrush (1) comprising a handle part (2) and an attachment part (3), e.g. a bristle head (4). Preferably, the bristle head (4) can be driven by a first drive unit (6.1) encompassing a first electric motor (7.1). A reservoir (8.1) for a care substance is connected to a duct (11.1) extending into the bristle head (4) by means of a pump (10.1) which can be driven by a second drive unit (6.2) encompassing a second electric motor (7.2). The first and the second electric motor (7.1, 7.2) are powered by a disposable or a rechargeable battery (12). A housing (16) of the handle part (2) is subdivided into a first and a second chamber (19, 20) by means of a liquid-tight partition (17) that extends in the longitudinal direction of the handle part (2). The first and the second drive unit (6.1, 6.2) and the disposable or rechargeable battery (12) are arranged in the first chamber (19) while the reservoir (8.1) and the pump (10.1) are disposed in the second chamber (20). The pump (10.1) can be driven by the second drive unit (6.1) via a lever (15), pumping movements (A′-B′) being transmitted from the lever (15) to the pump (10.1) via an integrated soft membrane (18) of the partition (17) by means of non-positive contact or via a liquid-tight slide passage (21) in the partition (17).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an industrial process for purifying the product mixture of a transesterification reaction with a polar, electrolyte-containing organic phase, in which the electrolytes are removed from the permeating polar organic phase by means of a nanofiltration step.
