A method for reducing the handover frequency by a communication device in femtocell networks includes the steps: measuring the radio signal strength by a communication device and storing the information of the serving base station into a cache memory; checking whether the stored information in the cache memory is classified as “femtocell” or not; if so, deleting the macrocell's information from the measurement report by the communication device and transmitting this to the serving base station; when the radio link failure occurred, checking whether the stored information in the cache memory is classified as “femtocell” or not; if so, initiating a timer; detecting an available femtocell before the timer expires; transmitting a call reestablishment request message to the available femtocell for rebuilding the link.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a volunteer search server, comprising a receiver, a database, an analyzer and a transmitter. The receiver is for receiving a request message from a requester, wherein the request message contains the location information of the requester. The database is for storing a matching mechanism and the location information of a plurality of volunteers. The analyzer is for exercising the matching mechanism to search at least one suitable volunteer according to the request message, wherein the matching mechanism considers both the location information of the requester and the volunteer. The transmitter is for transmitting a designate message to one designated volunteer. Additionally, the present invention discloses a search method of the volunteer search server and a volunteer search system thereof.
Abstract:
A method of relay transmission in a mobile communication system. The mobile communication system includes at least one base station and a plurality of user equipment units (UEs). When one of the UEs attempts to send a message to the base station, this one of the UEs, referred to as a requesting UE, is capable of using the method of relay transmission to send messages to the base station via another one or more UEs, referred to as relay UEs. The method of relay transmission includes the following steps. First, a relay request confirmation procedure for the requesting UE and the relay UE is performed. Second, a base station confirmation procedure for the requesting UE, the relay UE, and the base station is executed. Next, an identity authentication procedure for the requesting UE, the relay UE, and the base station is performed. After that, a relay start confirmation procedure for the requesting UE and the relay UE is executed. Finally, a relay transmission procedure for the requesting UE, the relay UE, and the base station is performed, wherein the requesting UE sends the message to the base station via the relay UE. According to the invention, high data rate transmission can be achieved even if the requesting UE is distant from the base station, and thus communication quality can be improved, with a reduced cost.

A method for reducing the handover frequency by a femto gateway in femtocell networks includes the steps: receiving a measurement report from a communication device by an initial femtocell; transmitting a relocation required message to a femto gateway by the initial femtocell if the signal strength thereof is below a threshold; ignoring the relocation required message and enabling the timer by the femto gateway after receiving the relocation required message; determining whether the cell ID included in the call reestablishment request message is classified as “femtocell” or not by the femto gateway before the timer expires; if so, rebuilding the link to the femtocell in response to the cell ID by the femto gateway.

Provided are a system and method for detecting air pollution, characterized by using an air pollution detecting device for detecting air pollutants, using a positioning device for locating the air pollution detecting device, and enabling a data transmission device to transmit air pollution data and position data to a data analysis and management device via a network system, and then enabling the data analysis and management device to perform analysis and management process on the data; accordingly, perceiving air pollution status at each area and thus proving air pollution information and improvement to air pollution areas in a shorter time.

A secure donation system is connectible to information processing device of donor, donee, and specific store via network. The system includes: a database for storing donation intention data of donor, requirement data of donee, and merchandise and/or service transaction data of specific store; a resource allocation module for generating donee data meeting donation intention data by analyzing and matching donation intention data with requirement data; a donation module for donor to choose donee from donee data meeting donation intention data generated by resource allocation module and for generating donation usage certificate after confirming donation data including donation intention data and donee data; and an authorization module for transmitting donation usage certificate to electronic device of chosen donee, so as for donee to perform verification and shopping in specific store via electronic device. Besides, a secure donation method having mechanisms of requirement matching and postpaid is also provided.

A channel buffering method is for dynamically altering a number of channels for an Internet protocol television (IPTV). The method is applicable for a home gateway (HG) having a channel section used for channel buffering. After the HG has received two consecutive channel-switching requests, the HG compares whether the two requests are similarly directed to switching a channel towards the same direction or not; if yes, a cumulative switching frequency is set, and two trimming numerical values are set through the cumulative switching frequency, and thus, the channel section for buffering the channels can be dynamically adjusted through the two trimming numerical values.

A reporting method for a data transmission device within a sensing region that comprises at least one data transmission device(s) for receiving a sensed data from a sensor device, transmitting the sensed data to a server, and broadcasting a message. Furthermore, the data transmission device enters a listening state for receiving the sensed data from the sensor device. If the data transmission device does not receive the message from any of the other data transmission device(s), will enter a reporting state for transmitting the sensed data and broadcasting the message. In addition, the data transmission device enters a sleeping state, if a reporting counter equals to zero. Therefore, the power wastage of the data transmission devices can be reduced.
Abstract:
A file repair method for Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) and a UMTS network are disclosed. According to the method, a data structure is established according to a repair request message sent from a user equipment. Each repair block is multicast to the user equipment that requested it by using the original MBMS Bearer Service for file downloading according to the data structure. The present invention does not need any extra traffic and additional control signaling to allow each user equipment to receive required repair blocks.
