A processor is provided, the processor including: an obtaining unit that obtains abnormality information related to an abnormality from an image forming device in which the abnormality occurs; an abnormality information storing unit that stores the abnormality information obtained by the obtaining unit as history information; a failure position information storing unit that stores failure position information for each phenomenon related to the abnormality; an extracting unit that extracts the failure position information corresponding to the latest abnormality information and abnormality information similar to the latest abnormality information among the abnormality information stored in the abnormality information storing unit from the failure position information storing unit; and an output unit that outputs an extracted result extracted by the extracting unit as specific deciding information of a cause related to the occurring abnormality.
Abstract:
A reliable uninterruptible DC power supply device. The DC backup power supply device includes an AC/DC converter, a DC/DC converter, voltage step-up/down choppers and a battery connected to a DC path of a main circuit connected with a load via a switch, and a microcomputer. In the device, under control of the microcomputer, the voltage step-up/down choppers are first operated under a condition that the MOS FET was turned OFF for self diagnosis of the backup power supply device. Next, the switch is turned ON to execute the remaining self diagnosis. The DC backup power supply device can execute its self diagnosis with a reduced likelihood of danger of exerting an adverse effect on the main circuit and also can exhibit a reliable uninterruptible power supply function.
Abstract:
An input apparatus for a digitizer tablet includes a lens section, an input operation section and an operation mechanism. The lens section has a mark formed at the bottom to indicate the position to be input, and a pickup coil wound around its peripheral portion. The input operation section has input operation switches and holds the lens section in such a way that the lens section is movable up and down with respect to a digitizer table. The operation mechanism includes a slide lever, a hook member, arm sections and a coupling rod. The operation mechanism is provided in the input operation section to move the lens section toward or away from the digitizer table.
Abstract:
This invention provides a majority circuit, connecting a plurality of processing units. The majority circuit can detect a single error or multiple errors, and sets the majority output signal to an ineffective level when multiple errors are detected. The majority circuit includes comparators, each comparing two outputs of three processing units, and the error detector recognizes the error status and outputs the single error signal and the multiple error signal accordingly. The majority circuit also includes a selector, which selects the output of a normal processing unit, when the normal processing unit can be specified based on the comparison result. The selector changes the output to a predetermined level, when the normal processing unit cannot be specified.
Abstract:
An optical circuit according to the present invention includes a first beam splitter for splitting a signal light to two polarization lights, first and second optical couplers for coupling the split signal lights and local lights in each, and second and third beam splitters for coupling corresponding polarization lights supplied from the first and second optical couplers. The second and third beam splitters supply output signals to one double-balanced receiver of a polarization diversity receiver.
Abstract:
A plug of a fiber optic cable connector according to this invention includes first and second cylindrical members each with a bottom so as to reciprocate at a predetermined stroke along a ferrule. Leaf springs each having a surface ascending in the circumferential direction and projections for urging the leaf springs are arranged between the first and second cylindrical members. When the ferrule abuts against an optical device, the first and second cylindrical members are not rotated together and only the first cylindrical member is rotated, thereby detecting a connecting state of optical fibers.
Abstract:
An improved connector housing comprises an outer and inner housing members and a snap ring to be positioned in grooves formed on the respective inner and outer surfaces of the outer and inner housing members. The snap ring is made of a resilient metal strip and is shaped to have at least one convex portion along the longitudinal direction thereof so that a resilient compressing force is produced to increase a screw fixing force between the outer housing member and an adapter when the inner housing member is moved in relation to the outer housing member.
Abstract:
A pressure controller for an artificial respirator according to this invention includes a control valve facing a gas passage between an inspiratory gas inlet and an inspiratory gas outlet, and an elastic biasing means for elastically biasing the control valve against a valve seat. When an adjustment manipulating member moves backward, even the pivotal motion of the adjustment manipulating member does not operate an adjustment operating member. When the adjustment manipulating member is pulled out, the pivotal motion of the adjustment manipulating member operates the adjustment operating member, thereby adjusting the elastic biasing force of the elastic biasing means. This invention provides a pressure controller for an artificial respirator capable of reliably preventing unnecessary operating of the adjustment operating member although the pivoting operation of the adjustment manipulating member is simple as a whole, and there is no possibility that the adjustment manipulating member and the like are broken.
Abstract:
In order to provide a ferrule for an optical-fiber connector used for good organization of an optical communication network, the ferrule for an optical-fiber connector is made of a crystallized glass having a composition which consists essentially of, by weight percent, 60-70% of SiO2, 16-25% of Al2O3, 1.5-3% of Li2O, 0.5-2.5% of MgO, 1.3-4.5% of TiO2, 0.5-3% of ZrO2, 2-6.5% of TiO2+ZrO2, 1-5.5% of K2O, 0-7% of ZnO, and 0-3% of BaO. The crystallized glass includes 30-70 volume % precipitation of &bgr;-spodumene solid solution or &bgr;-quartz solid solution having an average grain size not greater than 2 &mgr;m. In addition, the crystallized glass has a bend strength of 200 MPa or more and a thermal expansion coefficient of −10˜50×10−7/° C. at a temperature between −50 and 150° C.
