摘要: A feedback circuit for restoration of DC in video signals is presented. A sample pulse representing the back porch of an incoming video signal is generated from the horizontal sync signal. The sample pulse triggers a sample and hold circuit to acquire the correct offset voltage in the output signal during this back porch period. The offset voltage feeds back through a summing node upstream of either the circuit causing the offset or an input amplifier thereby restoring the video signal to the desired DC voltage level with respect to ground.

摘要: A wheel chock having a threaded portion at one end of the chock and extending from the chock, a lower surface of the threaded portion is spaced a certain distance from a lower surface of the chock itself, such that a knot formed below the extended portion would not extend beyond a plane defined by the lower surface of the chock. Alternatively, the extended threaded portion may extend to the lower surface of the chock, but the chock contains an internal cavity of sufficient size to house a knot in a line, without the knot extending beyond a plane defined by the lower surface of the chock. A traction layer may be fixed to the lower surface of the chock to provide additional traction or holding power.

摘要: A method of detecting a dry/wet state of a thermistor bead comprises the steps of: generating a current waveform that transitions between first and second current levels; conducting the current waveform through the thermistor bead; measuring a voltage waveform across the thermistor bead in response to the current waveform; measuring a slope of the voltage waveform in response to the first and second current levels and generating a first signal indicative of the measured slope; differentiating the voltage waveform to produce a voltage pulse representative of a transition of the voltage waveform from one voltage potential to another and generating a second signal indicative of the polarity of the voltage pulse; and detecting the dry/wet state of the thermistor bead based on the first and second signals. Apparatus for embodying this detection method is also disclosed.

摘要: A modular disk memory apparatus provides a modularly expandable, multi-gigabyte auxiliary memory for a computer or other host electronic device, and includes multiple, parallel serial data channels to maximize bidirectional data transfer rates between the apparatus and the host device. Maximization of READ/WRITE data transfer rates within the apparatus is achieved by utilizing a large number of small hard disk drives, typically eight 2.5-inch drives on each of a plurality of Disk Storage Modules, each including a plug-in printed circuit board capable of holding two 5-1/4 inch drives, thereby increasing the maximum data transfer rate per unit volume of the modules by a factor of two. Maximization of bidirectional data transfer rates between the apparatus and host device over that attainable using a single serial data channel such as a coaxial, quadaxial or fiber optic cable, is achieved by parsing or demultiplexing data to be transmitted from a single parallel channel onto p paralleled cables, thereby increasing the maximum transmittal rate by p. Data received over the parallel data channels is multiplexed or concatenated to comprise a data stream on a single parallel channel. Reconstruction data is embedded in data contained in the p parallel data channels specifying the number q of channels employed, where 1.ltoreq.q.ltoreq.p thereby configuring the demultiplexer to concatenate that number of data channels onto a single parallel data bus.
