摘要: A DC/DC converter may include a power stage circuit, a pulse generator circuit, a flux density monitor, and power control logic. The power stage circuit includes an input, an output, and a transformer with a core. The power stage circuit may be configured to operate in a power transfer phase during which power is transferred from the input to the output and a reset phase during which flux density in the core of the transformer is reduced. The pulse generator circuit may be configured to generate pulses that regulate the output of the power stage circuit. The flux density monitor circuit may be configured to generate flux density information indicative of the flux density of the core of the transformer during both the power transfer phase and the reset phase. The power stage control logic may be configured to regulate the output of the power stage circuit based on the pulses and to prevent the core of the transformer from saturating based on the flux density information.

摘要: A method and apparatus for automatic reduction of noise in video signals transmitted over conductors is presented. The present invention provides an adjustable amount of noise filtering matched to the amount of gain provided by an adjustable gain amplifier to a received video signal. One or more stages of a multi-stage discrete gain amplifier is provided with a corresponding noise filter circuit. The filter circuit is matched to the frequency response of and the amount of gain provided by the discrete gain amplifier stage. When the amplifier stage is applied to the received signal, the corresponding noise filter for that stage is invoked as well. In that manner, the amount of noise filtering applied to a video signal automatically varies with the amount of amplification provided to that signal.

摘要: Novel system and methodology are provided for controlling a DC/DC forward converter having a transformer with primary and secondary windings, a reset switch, and a first switch coupled to the primary winding of the transformer. The control system involves a PWM control circuit responsive to an output signal of the converter for producing a PWM signal to control switching of the reset switch, and the first switch. A period of the PWM signal includes an on-time interval for enabling transfer of power via the transformer when the first switch is on, and a reset time interval for enabling reset of the transformer when the reset switch is on. A maximum value of the on-time interval is pre-set to provide sufficient time for the reset. The reset switch is turned off when the PWM signal goes from a first level to a second level. A first delay period is set between time when the reset switch turns off and time when the first switch turns on. A first delay control circuit is provided for reducing the first delay time when the on-time interval approaches the maximum value. Further, the converter may include a second switch coupled to the secondary winding of the transformer. A second delay period shorter than the first delay period may be set between time when the reset switch turns off and time when the second switch turns on. A second delay control circuit may be provided for reducing the second delay period when the on-time interval approaches the maximum value.

摘要: A system and method for facilitating communications between a mobile device and a network application are provided. A mobile device transmits a request for data change information that includes a time out interval. The network application receives the request and measures a time elapsed since the receipt of the data change request. The network application transmits notification to the mobile device client that the time out interval has elapsed or a network specified time out occurs. As notifications are received or a network time out is detected, the mobile client device tunes the time out interval for subsequent data change requests.

摘要: A feedback circuit for restoration of DC in video signals is presented. A sample pulse representing the back porch of an incoming video signal is generated from the horizontal sync signal. The sample pulse triggers a sample and hold circuit to acquire the correct offset voltage in the output signal during this back porch period. The offset voltage feeds back through a summing node upstream of either the circuit causing the offset or an input amplifier thereby restoring the video signal to the desired DC voltage level with respect to ground.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a set of coordinated game service primitives that allows for custom, per-game, logic. A new game with new custom logic can be added without needing to change any public api or database schema or write any new server code. The same hardware may be shared across many games. And the system scales linearly. That is, if the number of servers is doubled, then so is the number of concurrent users that can be supported. Also disclosed are systems and methods for two-stage aggregation. Pre-aggregation may take place on a plurality of front-end server. Final aggregation may take place on one or more back-end servers. A name value store may be used to reliably store state.

摘要: A system capable of transmitting and receiving high frequency video signals across various lengths of a twisted pair cable while maintaining video quality is presented. The system includes a transmitter and a receiver tandem coupled together over twisted pair cable. Each video component is mixed with a reference signal in the transmitter and driven differentially onto the twisted pair cable. Upon detection of a signal in the twisted pair cable, the receiver adjusts its internal gains until the known characteristic of the reference signal is achieved. The receiver than automatically adjusts the skew & DC offset. Thus, the receiver is able to automatically measure the degradation in video quality and appropriately compensate the video signals for the accumulated degradation caused primarily by the transmission between the transmitter and the receiver. The compensated video may subsequently be provided to a video display device.
