Abstract: Described herein is a latex blend comprising (i) an amorphous perfluoropolymer and (ii) an aqueous dispersion of semi crystalline fluoropolymer particles, wherein the particles comprise a TFE homopolymer or a TFE copolymer comprising no more than 1 wt % of a second fluorinated monomer, wherein the semi crystalline fluoropolymer particles (a) have an MFI (372° C. with 2.16 kg) of less than 50 g/10 min or (b) are not melt processible and have an SSG of less than 2.190, wherein the semi crystalline fluoropolymer particles have an average diameter greater than 100 nm.

Abstract: A method of making a crosslinked fluoropolymer is described. The method comprises applying a composition to a substrate, wherein the composition comprises fluoropolymer and a fluorinated solvent, one or more curing agents comprising an ethylenically unsaturated group and an electron donor group or precursor thereof. The method further comprises removing the solvent and curing the fluoropolymer with actinic (e.g. ultraviolet “UV”) radiation. Also described is a composition comprising a fluoropolymer dissolved in a fluorinated solvent, and one or more curing agents comprising an ethylenically unsaturated group and an electron donor group or precursor thereof; and article comprising the crosslinked fluoropolymer.

Abstract: Described herein is a millable fluorinated block copolymer having (a) at least one A block, wherein the A block is a semi-crystalline segment comprising repeating divalent monomeric units derived from at least TFE, HFP and VDF; (b) at least one B block, wherein the B block is a segment comprising repeating divalent monomeric units derived from at least HFP and VDF; and (c) a bisolefin monomer, wherein at least (i) the semi-crystalline segment of the A block comprises repeating divalent monomeric units derived from TFE, HFP, VDF, and the bisolefin monomer, (ii) the segment of the B block comprises repeating divalent monomeric units derived from HFP, VDF, and the bisolefin monomer, or (iii) a combination thereof; and wherein the millable fluorinated block copolymer has a modulus of 0.1 to 2.5 MPa at 100° C.

Abstract: Described herein is method of making elongated fluoroelastomeric articles using a millable composition comprising (a) a random fluorinated polymer, the random fluorinated polymer comprising repeating divalent monomeric units derived from TFE, HFP and VDF and further comprising 0.1 to 1% by weight iodine, wherein the random fluorinated polymer has an MFI greater than 5 g/10 min at 265° C. and 5 kg; (b) a filler, and (c) a peroxide, wherein the millable composition has a melting point less than 125° C. Such compositions can be used to make elongated articles such as stators.
