Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improving displayed image quality of an electronic display that includes a display pixel. The electronic display displays a first image frame directly after a second image frame by applying an analog electrical signal to the display pixel. To facilitate display of the first image frame, circuitry receives image data corresponding to the image frame, in which the image data includes a grayscale value that indicates target luminance of the display pixel; determines expected refresh rate of the first image frame based at least in part on actual refresh rate of the second image frame; determines a pixel response correction offset based at least in part on the expected refresh rate of the first image frame; and determines processed image data by applying the pixel response correction offset to the grayscale value, in which the processed image data indicates magnitude of the analog electrical signal.

Abstract: An electronic device may have a hybrid antenna that includes a slot resonating element formed from a slot in a ground plane and a planar resonating element formed over the slot. A parasitic element may be disposed over the planar element. A switch may couple the parasitic element to the ground. A tunable circuit may couple the planar element to the ground. The switch and tunable circuit may be placed in different tuning states. In a first state, the tunable circuit and switch form open circuits. In a second state, the tunable circuit may an open circuit and the switch is closed. In a third state, the tunable circuit forms a return path and the switch forms an open circuit. This may allow the antenna to operate with satisfactory efficiency in low, mid, and high bands despite volume constraints imposed on the antenna.

Abstract: A wireless power transmission system has a wireless power receiving device that is configured to receive power from a wireless power transmitting device. The power transmitting device may have a conductive housing portion at a front face and a reflector at a rear face that form a cavity for an antenna that is configured to transmit wireless charging signals to the power receiving device. The power transmitting device may be a desktop computer. The power receiving device may include an antenna that receives signals from the power transmitting device and rectifier circuitry that converts signals from the antenna to corresponding rectified direct current voltage signals that may be used to charge a battery in the power receiving device. The antenna may include a cavity formed from a conductive housing for the power receiving device. The power receiving device may be an accessory such as a keyboard, trackpad, or computer mouse.

Abstract: An electronic device may have a main display and an ancillary display that forms a dynamic function row. The device may also have a backlit keyboard with glyphs. The keyboard may have light-emitting diodes that emit backlight illumination. The backlight illumination has a backlight illumination color and intensity. A color ambient light sensor may measure ambient light color and intensity. Control circuitry in the laptop computer may make white point adjustments to the main and ancillary displays. White point adjustments may be made based on factors such as the backlight illumination intensity, information on the nominal white point of a display (which may be comparable to the color of the backlight illumination), information on the ambient light color and intensity, and a white point adaptation scaling factor.

Abstract: Parameters of a display may be adjusted in response to accessing a time value corresponding to an electronic device that includes the display. A brightness value of the display may be adjusted based on the time value to maintain a display characteristic value within a predefined range and below a threshold. The display characteristic value may be independently controllable by one of the brightness or the color temperature of the display. A set of red green blue (RGB) color values of the display may be adjusted independent of the adjustment to the brightness value to maintain the display characteristic value within the predefined range and below the threshold while maintaining the brightness value of the display. In some examples, the RGB color values of the display may be adjusted at approximately the same time as the adjustment of the set of RGB color values of the display is performed.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a display having an array of display pixels and having display control circuitry that controls the operation of the display. The display control circuitry may adaptively adjust the display output based on ambient lighting conditions. For example, in cooler ambient lighting conditions such as those dominated by daylight, the display may display neutral colors using a relatively cool white. When the display is operated in warmer ambient lighting conditions such as those dominated by indoor light sources, the display may display neutral colors using a relatively warm white. Adapting to the ambient lighting conditions may ensure that the user does not perceive color shifts on the display as the user's vision chromatically adapts to different ambient lighting conditions. Adaptively adjusting images in this way can also have beneficial effects on the human circadian rhythm by displaying warmer colors in the evening.

Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with a display having a backlight with light sources of different colors. The electronic device may include a color ambient light sensor that measures the color of ambient light and control circuitry that adjusts the color of light emitted from the backlight based on the color of ambient light. The light sources may include at least first and second light-emitting diodes that emit light having different color temperatures. The control circuitry may adjust the intensity of light emitted from the first light-emitting diode relative to the intensity of light emitted from the second light-emitting diode to produce a backlight color that more closely matches the color of ambient light. The first and second light-emitting diodes may include an ultraviolet light-emitting diode die and a blue light-emitting diode die that are mounted in a common semiconductor package.

Abstract: An electronic device may have first and second rear-facing displays, a front-facing display, a cover layer at a front side with a central region overlapping the front-facing display and a peripheral region, and wireless circuitry with a transceiver and antennas. The transceiver may convey audio data with left and right earbuds using a non-Bluetooth low-latency-audio communications protocol. The antenna(s) may be mounted at a bottom side of the device overlapping the peripheral region, at a rear side of the device, or may be mounted to a head strap. The antenna(s) may be tilted to optimize field(s) of view, to match polarization of the earbuds, and/or to allow multiple antennas to exhibit orthogonal polarizations. The antennas may include a single antenna that concurrently conveys packets of audio data to both earbuds or may include first and second antennas that concurrently convey audio data to the left and right earbuds.
