The present invention relates generally to the field of electrical energy storage in secondary batteries of Li-ion type. More specifically, the invention relates to a binder in the form of a powder based on a homogeneous mixture of fluoropolymers. The invention also relates to a number of processes for preparing said binder. Lastly, the invention relates to an electrode comprising said binder, and also to Li-ion secondary batteries comprising at least one such electrode.

The invention relates to a method of polymerizing at least one fluorinated monomer comprising an ethylene bond, the method comprising putting in contact the at least one fluorinated monomer with a polymerization initiator and a chain transfer agent, the chain transfer agent being a polysulfide compound, preferably a disulfide compound. The invention also relates to a telechelic fluoride-based polymer obtained with said method.

The present invention relates to a binder which can be used in a lithium-ion battery, comprising at least one polyvinylidene fluoride and at least one acrylic copolymer including monomers having functional groups which have an affinity for metals or are capable of fixing to the metals. According to the invention, in a characteristic manner, said polyvinylidene fluoride is such that a solution of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone containing 5 wt % of said polyvinylidene fluoride has a viscosity, measured at 23° C. with an imposed shear rate of 30 rpm, of 125 mPa·s to 1500 mPa·s.

The present invention relates to a fluorinated composition and a fluorinated film having properties that make it suitable for use outside, especially in the agricultural sector. The film according to the invention is a single-layer polymer film comprising a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) matrix and at least one impact modifier having a polyorganosiloxane core and at least one thermoplastic shell, in which the weight content of impact modifier varies between 2.5% and less than 40%. According to one embodiment variant, the invention relates to multilayer films comprising at least one layer of said fluorinated film and at least one layer of unmodified PVDF.
