摘要: A color balancing circuit for a flat panel display such as an electroluminescent display generates a primary current that can be varied to adjust the overall brightness of the display. Three currents related to the primary current by selectable ratios are generated, by current mirror circuits, for example; the ratios can be individually varied to adjust the color balance. Driving currents are generated from the three adjusted currents, by mirroring the adjusted currents, for example, and are used to drive display elements that emit light in the three primary colors. Image brightness and color balance can accordingly be adjusted separately, even though both are adjusted by adjusting the driving current. Circuit size is reduced in that the same primary current is used for all three primary colors.

摘要: An anti-reflective film laminated on the display surface of a cathode ray tube which is not prone to pealing with age includes an extension on each of the four sides of the main film surface. The extensions from the main anti-reflective film surface are preferably rectangular and can be wrapped around the sides of the cathode ray tube adjacent to the display surface. A heat shrink band is then constricted around the cathode ray tube to fix the anti-reflective film in place. Strips of conductive material on the extensions of the anti-reflective film can be electrically connected to grounding electrodes on the heat shrink band to allow for the dissipation of static electricity which tends to accumulate on the anti-reflective film. With the heat shrink band securing the anti-reflective film in place over the display surface over the cathode ray tube, the anti-reflective film is not prone to pealing or separation from the display surface of the cathode ray tube.

摘要: An apparatus for failure identification suitable for determining between existence and nonexistence of failure of the squib in occupant protecting system. The first terminal voltage generated between both the terminals of the squib when the first monitor current is passed through the squib, and the second terminal voltage generated between both the terminals of the squib when the second monitor current is passed through the squib. The first and second terminal voltages are amplified by the differential amplifier circuit into the first and second differentially amplified voltage. Thereafter, the difference between the first differentially amplified voltage and the second differentially amplified voltage is calculated to obtain the monitor voltage difference and it is compared with the reference voltage, and thereupon, decision between existence and nonexistence of a short-circuit in the squib is made.

摘要: An acceleration sensor detects an acceleration of a vehicle which is caused by a collision of the vehicle. A safety device protects an occupant in the vehicle from the collision of the vehicle. A trigger device triggers the safety device. The trigger device is activated in response to an output signal from the acceleration sensor. An operation of the trigger device is detected and a detection signal representative thereof is generated. A first judgment device judges whether or not the trigger device is activated on the basis of the detection signal. When the trigger device is judged to be activated, a second judgment device judges whether the activation of the trigger device is caused by a correct cause or a false cause on the basis of the output signal from the acceleration sensor. The judgment by the second judgment device is allowed only once and subsequent judgments by the second judgment device are inhibited. A result of the judgment by the second judgment device is recorded.

摘要: This invention provides a blood pressure measuring apparatus capable of stably measuring the blood pressure in even the tragus while suppressing the degree of invasion. An attaching portion (3) of the blood pressure measuring apparatus has an inner cuff (6), an outer cuff (7), and a holding member (10) which holds the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7), and the holding member has a “U” shape. The end portions of the holding member (10) where the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7) are arranged are almost parallel to each other, and the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7) oppose each other. An auxiliary member (80) which comes in contact with a predetermined position of the ear of a person to be measured and increases the attachment stability of the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7) at the tragus is attached to the holding member (10).
