摘要: This invention provides a blood pressure measuring apparatus capable of stably measuring the blood pressure in even the tragus while suppressing the degree of invasion. An attaching portion (3) of the blood pressure measuring apparatus has an inner cuff (6), an outer cuff (7), and a holding member (10) which holds the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7), and the holding member has a “U” shape. The end portions of the holding member (10) where the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7) are arranged are almost parallel to each other, and the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7) oppose each other. An auxiliary member (80) which comes in contact with a predetermined position of the ear of a person to be measured and increases the attachment stability of the inner cuff (6) and outer cuff (7) at the tragus is attached to the holding member (10).

摘要: In an electronic clinical sphygmomamometer of the type which measures blood pressure on the basis of a Korotkoff-sound signal in a pulse-wave gate signal, the level of a detected pulse-wave signal is compared with a predetermined threshold level to form a pulse-wave gate signal the duration of which corresponds to a period over which the level of the pulse-wave signal is higher than the predetermined threshold level. If no Korotkoff-sound detection signal is provided in the pulse-wave gate signal thus formed, the duration of the pulse-wave gate signal is extended by a predetermined time period. The thus-extended duration of the pulse-wave period required to measure the systatic blood pressure gate signal serves as the measurement.

摘要: A composite nickel plated sliding surface is obtained by the formation of a composite nickel plating film on a sliding surface of an automobile part such as an engine cylinder or piston by electroless nickel plating. The plating film contains at least one member of wear resistant particles having an average particle size of 0.1 to 1.0.mu. selected from SiC, TiC, WC, BC.sub.4, TiN, Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 or the like, and also at least one member of lubricating particles having an average particle size of 1 to 10.mu. selected from BN, MoS.sub.2, and Teflon. The nickel plating bath is adjusted to have a phosphorus concentration of 0.5 to 12%. When the matrix of the nickel plating film has a phosphorus concentration of 0.5 to 5%, the film hardness is improved.

摘要: In a vehicle seat, two front and two rear links are pivotally connected between a seat cushion frame and a floor of vehicle. Each of the two front links has an arcuate gear region meshed with a corresponding pinion provided to the seat cushion at a point backwardly of that arcuate gear region. Two connecting links are pivotally connected between the respective two front and rear links, such that forward pivot points respective of the two connecting links in the respective two front links are always maintained forwardly of the respective pinions, irrespective of vertical rotation of the two front links. In the case of rear-end collision, such link arrangement allows an excessive backward and downward load to be transmitted through the two connecting links and front links to the two lateral sides of seat cushion frame and dispersed therein, thereby absorbing a corresponding excessive impact.

A clinical thermometer of this invention is a body temperature measuring system including a body temperature tag and a data reading device. A processing unit of the body temperature tag includes a power supply circuit, a semiconductor temperature sensor for detecting a band gap voltage, and a storage unit configured to store calibration data to calibrate the detected band gap voltage, and is configured to, upon activating the power supply circuit, send the detected band gap voltage via the antenna unit together with the calibration data. The data reading device includes an excitation unit, and a sensing unit configured to sense a change in a magnetic field generated by excitation. The power level of the excitation unit is changed upon sensing the change in the magnetic field.
