    摘要: In order to raise accuracy of measurement, a compound layered type of sensing device is provided. The device comprises a plurality of solid electrolyte plates and first to third electrochemical cells. Each cell has a single pair of electrodes disposed on the solid electrolyte plates. A concentration of a gas specified from a gas to be measured pre-processed based on oxygen pumping by the first electrochemical cell is detected by the second electrochemical cell. A difference in electromotive force between the gas to be measured and a reference gas is detected by the third electrochemical cell. The single pair of electrodes of the third electrochemical cell is disposed on the same surface of one of the solid electrolyte plates, and both of the first and third electrochemical cells are located with different ones of the solid electrolyte plates.

    摘要: An optical information recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a first light source for recording or erasing information, a first current source for modulating a light beam from the first light source in accordance with a recording signal, a second light source for verification, and a second current source for supplying a current to the second light source to cause the second light source to emit a reproducing light beam. The light beam from the first light source leads on an information track on an optical recording medium, and the light beam from the second light source follows on the information track. Based on reflected light from the optical recording medium, of the light beam from the second light source, information recorded by the light beam from the first light source is reproduced for verification. The apparatus further has an inductor disposed in a current supply path from the second current source to the second light source, which has an impedance sufficiently larger than an impedance of the second light source at a recording signal frequency, and a high-frequency oscillator for modulating a light output from the second light source, which applies a high-frequency current with a frequency sufficiently higher than the recording signal frequency.

    摘要: Disclosed is a creamy or milky skin cosmetic composition which contains an emulsifying agent comprising an 18.alpha.-glycyrrhizin (18.alpha.-glycyrrhizic acid or its sodium, potassium or ammonium salt) that is a novel compound derived from a conventional glycyrrhizin (i.e., any form of 18.beta.-glycyrrhizin extracted from licorice root) or a glycyrrhizin composition consisting of an 18.alpha.-glycyrrhizin and an 18.beta.-glycyrrhizin. This skin cosmetic composition causes no irritation to the skin and hence has great safety for the skin, as contrasted with skin cosmetic compositions using synthetic emulsifiers. Moreover, it exhibits very good emulsion stability and storage stability and presents a very attractive appearance (fine texture and good gloss) owing to the unique effects of the 18.alpha.-glycyrrhizin. In particular, this skin cosmetic composition is characterized in that the difficulties inherent in the use of an emulsifying agent comprising an 18.beta.-glycyrrhizin alone (i.e., the fact that the resulting emulsion is subject to gelation, requires a long time for defoaming, and may undergo a considerable change in viscosity when transferred by the application of a shear stress) are overcome.
