Abstract: Slidable electrical connection systems are described. An example system may include a compute component that may include a slide component and an elongate conductive structure disposed at an outer casing of the compute component. The slide component may permit the compute component to move linearly between an extended position and a stowed position. The elongate conductive structure is configured and positioned to engage with an electrical contact of a support surface to form an electrical connection. The electrical connection is maintained at least while the compute component is moved between the extended position and the stowed position.

Abstract: A controller may drive a first digital value onto a first address terminal of a first peripheral. The controller may transmit a data message on a data bus while driving the first digital value onto the selected address terminal. The first peripheral is coupled with the data bus, in accordance with at least one embodiment. A second peripheral having a second address terminal may also be coupled to the data bus. The first peripheral may be configured to accept the data message over the data bus when the first digital value is received on the first address terminal. The second peripheral may be configured to accept the data message over the data bus when the first digital value is received on the second address terminal.

Abstract: An expansion card mounting assembly includes a mounting structure and a circuit board coupled to the mounting structure. Expansion cards are mounted on a top side and a bottom side of the circuit board and secured at opposite ends by a moveable plate of the expansion card mounting assembly. The mounting structure includes an opening along a length of the expansion cards that allows air to flow over the expansion cards in multiple directions including a vertical direction. The moveable plate and mounting structure are configured to allow a position of the moveable plate on the mounting structure to be adjusted to mount expansion cards having different lengths in the expansion card mounting assembly.

Abstract: A system can include a key cartridge, which can include a housing, an enabling key component, and an electrical connector. The housing may be sized for placement at least partially over or around a latch release mechanism of a slidable rack sled and in a position to obstruct access to the latch release mechanism. The enabling key component can be positioned within the housing and enable operation of an electrical component situated within the slidable rack sled. The electrical connector can be coupled with the enabling key component and sized and positioned for establishing electrical connection between the enabling key component and the electrical component situated within the slidable rack sled when the pluggable key cartridge is installed relative to the server rack sled.

Abstract: Technology is described for a system that includes a power source, a first computing device, a second computing device and a host controller. The power source may provide a direct current (DC) voltage. The first computing device may perform a computing function in a computing environment. The first computing device may be directly coupled to the power source and may receive the DC voltage from the power source, and the second computing device may receive a remaining amount of the DC voltage. Abstract: A connection panel for enabling quick change over of a network device comprises a body and an engaging device. An exterior side of the body has multiple sockets, each of which can receive a plug connector. The panel is configured for positioning at one end of a rack space for the network device. The panel's interior side has first network device connections configured to mate with second network device connections on the network device. The engaging device has at least one member extending between the network device and the panel, and is repositionable between at least an engaged position in which the network device is moved towards and mechanically coupled to the panel with the second network device connections urged into engagement with and electrically connected to the first connections, and a disengaged position in which the network device is disengaged from the panel and removable from the rack space.
