    摘要: Synchronous and asynchronous data traffic over multipoint ad-hoc telecommunication networks is scheduled in frames, and bandwidth in such networks is allocated based on packet type and traffic type by a scheduler that points to frame descriptors, or data structures, that define where data is located, what packet type to use for the transmission, etc. The scheduling of reception is implicit, viz., there is always a transmit/receive descriptor pair. The same scheduler can schedule traffic in interconnected networks in which there is a participant, even if the networks are unsynchronized to one another, and the scheduler can schedule connection-setup actions, such as page and inquiry. The scheduler can also schedule non-actions, or inactivity, such as “no operation” and “sleep”.

According to the invention, the summation is instead divided into partial sums which are then used to form new partial sums in a hierarchial way. A substantial computational reduction is obtained because a partial sum has approximately the same value for many neighboring points, and that interpolations are feasible. Instead of N.sup.3 additions, the number of additions can be reduced to the order of magnitude of N.sup.2 log N.

    摘要: The invention relates to adjusting an input signal level of a Sigma-Delta converter. A control signal indicative of an input signal level to said Sigma-Delta converter is generated, and the input signal level to said Sigma-Delta converter is adjusted in dependence of said control signal. The control signal is generated as a signal indicating an operating condition of said Sigma-Delta converter. In this way, internal signals from the Sigma-Delta converter can be used to determine the state of the Sigma-Delta converter, i.e. whether it is operating within its operational input range or not, and whether it is close to the limits of the operational input range. This provides a simple, but accurate guidance of an automatic gain control upstream of the Sigma-Delta converter.

    摘要: An in vitro method of evaluating the antagonistic versus agonistic effects of a receptor-binding test substance on a selected type of cells containing endogenous intra-cellular hormone receptors, is disclosed. Said test substance, and separately a reference substance, known to be either an antagonist or an agonist, are incubated with said selected type of cells, and the magnitude of the selected cellular response resulting from hormone/receptor interaction, is analyzed. In case the method is performed on at least two selected types of cells which derive from different kinds of tissues, it is possible to evaluate the pattern of antagonistic versus agonistic effects of the selected test substance on said kinds of tissues.
