    Abstract: The present invention relates to cyanated compounds of the formula (I) wherein at least one of the radicals R2, R3, R4 and R5 is CN, and the remaining radicals are selected from hydrogen, chlorine and bromine; X is O, S, SO or SO2; m is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4; R1 is selected from bromine, chlorine, cyano, —NRaRb, C1-C24-alkyl, C1-C24-haloalkyl, C1-C24-alkoxy, C1-C24-haloalkoxy, C3-C24-cycloalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, heteroaryl, C6-C24-aryl, C6-C24-aryloxy, C6-C24-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene, etc.; A is a diradical selected from diradicals of the general formulae (A.1), (A.2), (A.3), and (A.4) wherein R6, (R7)n, (R8)o and (R9)p are as defined in the claims and in the description. The invention further relates to color converters comprising at least one polymer as a matrix material and at least one cyanated compound of formula (I) or mixtures thereof as a fluorescent dye, to the use of the color converters and to lighting devices comprising at least one LED and at least one color converter.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to perylene bisimides with rigid 2,2′-biphenoxy bridges which are useful in a wide variety of applications and to novel to perylene bisimides with rigid 2,2′-biphenoxy bridges. The present invention also relates to the use of said compound(s) in color converters for improving the luminous efficacy of LEDs, to color converters and their use and to lighting devices comprising at least one LED or OLED and at least one color converter.
