Abstract:
The present general inventive concept relates to methods and systems to select and display information on an avionics display screen. The systems and methods allow for the selection and display of information using knobs to highlight and select the desired information for display, eliminating the need for a cursor function. The systems and methods also provide for multiple pages and/or multiple windows or “tiles” within these pages and/or windows simultaneously on a single screen of a display, with each window, page, and/or tile being fully controlled independently when selected. The present general inventive concept also relates to systems and methods to provide multiple cues on an electronic display system altitude tape to a pilot in advance and impending approach to a predefined altitude. The present general inventive concept also relates to systems and methods to employ variable resolution topographical data based on display range for an avionics navigation display.
Abstract:
Disclosed are non-human animal models, and preferably, rodent models, and more preferably, mouse models, of B-cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL). In particular, the present invention provides animal models of B cell NHL including, B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/lymphoma (B-CLL), Burkitt's lymphoma (BL), Follicular-like lymphoma (FLL) and Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), as well as various methods for producing these non-human animal models. These animal models, as well as cell lines produced from or derived from these models, are useful tools for a variety of methods, including, but not limited to, preclinical testing of drug candidates, and particularly drug candidates that are specific for human proteins, and any research, development, pharmaceutical, or clinical purpose, including but not limited to, the identification, development, and/or testing of drugs (therapeutics, prophylactics, etc.), targets, markers, and/or research tools for use in the diagnosis of, study of, or treatment of any Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, such as those described herein, or for any related condition.
Abstract:
A method and a system are presented in which federated domains interact within a federated environment. Domains within a federation can initiate federated single-sign-on operations for a user at other federated domains. A point-of-contact server within a domain relies upon a trust proxy within the domain to manage trust relationships between the domain and the federation. Trust proxies interpret assertions from other federated domains as necessary. Trust proxies may have a trust relationship with one or more trust brokers, and a trust proxy may rely upon a trust broker for assistance in interpreting assertions. When a user is provisioned at a particular federated domain, the federated domain can provision the user to other federated domains within the federated environment. A provision operation may include creating or deleting an account for a user, pushing updated user account information including attributes, and requesting updates on account information including attributes.
Abstract:
A method wherein the light in a sulfur or selenium lamp is reflected through the fill a multiplicity of times to convert ultraviolet radiation to visible. A light emitting device comprised of an electrodeless envelope which bears a light reflecting covering around a first portion which does not crack due to differential thermal expansion and which has a second portion which comprises a light transmissive aperture.
Abstract:
A user interacts with a data storage service which enables one or more feeds from video and or web cameras to be streamed to the data storage service. The data storage service then provides storage and/or playback services to the subscriber (e.g., for a monthly fee or a usage fee). Once the video streams have been established between at least one camera and the data storage facility, the user may access the recorded data from any one of several sources, such as a world wide web browser or a cellular phone). The interface may provide a matrix of displays such that the user can see multiple areas or multiple parts of the same area simultaneously.
Abstract:
An enterprise computing environment such as a corporate web portal includes an intermediary server, a sign on service, and one or more backend enterprise systems managed by resource managers. Before or after user primary logon, which establishes a user primary account identity, the intermediary server uses its own identity to authenticate to the sign on service its right to retrieve user secondary account identities with respect to the backend enterprise systems. Retrieved secondary account identities are then used by the intermediary server to perform user secondary logons to respective resource managers in the environment. The intermediary server also manages the passing of resource requests and associated replies between the user and the resource managers.
Abstract:
A method is presented for obtaining information from a client for the benefit of a server using a particular communication protocol that the server does not implement. A primary server receives a client-generated request, and the primary server sends a first request to a secondary server as part of the processing of the client-generated request. While processing the first request, the secondary server determines a need for data obtainable from a client application that supports user interaction using a communication protocol for which the secondary server is not configured to implement. The secondary server sends a second request to the primary server for obtaining data that results from using the communication protocol. The secondary server subsequently receives the resulting data and continues to process the first request using the resulting data, after which the secondary server returns a response for the first request to the primary server.
Abstract:
A sulfur, selenium, and/or tellurium based lamp for providing visible light. The lamp is operated in a regime for providing high efficacy wherein the ratio of the volume to surface area of the bulb is greater than 0.45 cm, the concentration of the sulfur, selenium, or tellurium is less than 1.75 mg/cc, and the power density is between about 100 watts/cc and 5 watts/cc.
Abstract:
An excimer lamp utilizing a high pressure fill. The fill includes a halogen at an operating pressure of greater than about 350 torr or the combination of a halogen and a rare gas at a total operating pressure of greater than about 2.5 atmospheres.
