    Abstract: Elastomeric sleeves are positioned on the handles of tile nippers to maintain the tile nippers in an open position and to absorb shock. The elastomeric sleeves each include two opposed raised projections. The raised projections nearest the head of the tile nipper bias the tile nipper in an open position and provide cushioning as the tile nippers engage a piece of tile. The second raised projections contact each other as the tile nipper cuts the tile, preventing the jaws from contacting each other and reducing the jolt that the user feels as they cut the tile.

    Abstract: In a microwave powered electrodeless lamp, a single rotary motor is used to a) rotate the bulb and b) provide rotary motion to a blower or pump means for providing cooling fluid to the magnetron and/or to a forced gas cooling for providing cooler gas to the bulb.     Abstract: The orientation of a machine 2 relative to a work-piece 10 is manually controlled by means of an alignment device 4. The device 4 includes a light source 24 rigidly attached to a foot 12 that is resiliently movably attached to the main body 18 of the device. The body 18 of the device 4 houses a light detector 26 for detecting a light beam from the light source 24, the position of the region on the detector 26 illuminated by the beam depending on the orientation of the machine 2 relative to the work-piece 10. The operator is provided with feedback on whether the machine 2 is correctly aligned with a target orientation (usually perpendicular to the surface) and concerning the direction of corrective movement required, if any.

    Abstract: A lamp for providing visible radiation includes tellurium or a tellurium compound in the fill. This substance is present in an amount such that when the fill is excited with sufficient power, substantially all of the radiation resulting from tellurium is emitted at wavelengths exceeding 400 nm. When tellurium is added to a sulfur or selenium based lamp for emitting visible radition, the spectrum is shifted towards the red region.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle windshield melting device primarily comprised of a housing, at least one LED, at least one button, a USB port, at least one handle, at least one strap attached to at least one clip, and a screen further comprised of at least one internal heating coil. The device can be placed on the windshield of a vehicle wherein the screen is then deployed from the housing. Then, the heating coil within the screen can be activated using the button to melt snow and ice off the windshield. The clip may be used to further secure the device to the vehicle and prevent movement of the device during use. The device may have a plurality of heating levels for the heating coil, wherein each level can be selected by the button and indicated by the LED. When not in use, the screen can be retracted into the housing.

    Abstract: The present general inventive concept relates to methods and systems to select and display information on an avionics display screen. The systems and methods allow for the selection and display of information using knobs to highlight and select the desired information for display, eliminating the need for a cursor function.
