摘要:
Disclosed are vaccines containing both a DNA sequence encoding FIV gag protein and a DNA sequence encoding FIV env protein. The gag and env proteins are preferably expressed by baculovirus expression systems containing the DNA sequences encoding the FIV env and gag proteins or in feline herpes virus vectors containing the DNA sequences encoding the FIV env and gag proteins. Also disclosed are combined mucosal/parenteral, mucosal/mucosal and parenteral/parenteral inoculation methods.
摘要:
The present invention provides a Drosophila melanogaster GPCR (DmGPCR) polypeptides and polynucleotides which identify and encode such a DmGPCR. In addition, the invention provides expression vectors, host cells and methods for its production. The invention also provides methods for the identification of homologs in other animals, and of DmGPCR agonists/antagonists, useful for the treatment of diseases in animals and for the control of insects that are injurious or harmful to plants or animals.
摘要:
The invention provides neuropeptide ligands, G protein-coupled receptors and methods of screening for modulators of receptor activity. Identified modulators, including neuropeptide ligand mimetics, are useful as biostatic and biocidal agents of varying scope, ranging from lethal activity restricted to particular invertebrate parasites to broad spectrum invertebrate parasiticides active on a wide range of invertebrates, including helminths and insects.

The present invention relates to a vaccine composition against feline calicivirus (CFV) infection. The composition comprises a capsid protein of Feline calicivirus-49 (CFV-49), a pharmaceutical accepted carrier and optionally an adjuvant. The present invention further relates to a feline vaccine composition further comprises other live, attenuated or inactivated CVF component in addition to the capsid protein of FCV-49. The present invention also relates to a method for making or using the vaccine compositions.
摘要:
The present invention relates to a vaccine for immunizing a cat against feline viruses. The present invention also relates to a nucleic acid clone that encodes the capsid protein of the isolated feline calicivirus. The present invention further relates to a live or killed vaccine comprising the isolated feline calicivirus, a subunit vaccine comprising the capsid protein of the isolated feline calicivirus, a nucleic acid vaccine comprising a nucleic acid clone of the isolated feline calicivirus, and a recombinant virus vector vaccine comprising nucleic acid encoding the capsid protein of the isolated feline calicivirus. The present invention also relates to a method for identifying a feline calicivirus useful for producing a vaccine composition and for assays for diagnosing cats infected with feline calicivirus. Also disclosed is a method of immunizing animals, especially cats, against disease, in particular against feline calicivirus (FCV). The method includes administering to a cat therapeutically effective amounts of first and second FCV vaccines. The first vaccine is administered orally or parenterally (e.g., subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and the like). The second vaccine is administered orally or oronasally N days following administration of the first vaccine, wherein N is an integer from 3 to 120, inclusive. A third vaccine administration may also be given. The present invention also describes methods and materials for treating and immunizing animals with vaccine, and in particular cats against both FPV or Feline Parvovirus, which has also been called Panleukopenia or FPL and against another disease, FHV or Feline Herpes Virus, which has also been called Feline Rhinotracheitis Virus.

In addition, the invention provides expression vectors, host cells, and methods for its production. The invention also provides methods for the identification of homologs in other species and of DmGPCR agonists/antagonists useful as potential insecticides. The invention further provides methods for binding a DmGPCR, methods for identifying modulators of DmGPCR expression and activity, methods for controlling a population of insects with a DmGPCR antibody, a DmGPCR antisense polynucleotide, a DmGPCR binding partner or modulator, and methods of preventing or treating a disease or condition associated with an ectoparasite. Specifically, this invention discloses the matching of the orphan Drosophila drotachykinin, droleucokinin, and drostatin-C receptors with their cognate peptide ligands.
