摘要： A method of bonding an antimicrobial cationic polyelectrolyte to the surface of a substrate is described, wherein the antimicrobial thus attached to the substrate provides the substrate with antimicrobial properties, and at least a portion of the bonded antimicrobial is substantially non-leachable during normal conditions of use and storage. A method of manufacturing an antimicrobial material is described which comprises exposure of the substrate to a solution of antimicrobial cationic polyelectrolyte, followed by drying the exposed substrate thoroughly to impart a non-leaching property to at least a portion of the antimicrobial cationic polyelectrolytes.

摘要： A reduced ground spring probe array and a method for controlling the impedance of the signal spring probes in the reduced ground spring probe array. Signal spring probes are positioned in a row-column format across the surface of the spring probe tower. Ground spring probes are positioned in a row/alternating-column format across the surface of the spring probe tower such that one ground probe is positioned between two or more signal probes. In doing so, a void space exists for every other ground probe column such that one or more signal lines may be routed within the void space or the array may be compressed to establish a smaller overall spring probe tower footprint.

摘要： A multiwell plate device is provided having a frame, a substantially flat substrate and a multiwell structure supported by the substrate. The multiwell structure includes multiple bottomless wells formed therein. The substrate is supported by the frame and may be processed by an automated arrayer or instrument that is used to print or spot arrays in a pattern on a reaction surface of the substrate. Thereafter, the multiwell structure may be engaged with the substrate and the multiwell structure and substrate may be engaged with the frame in an upright orientation. For scanning or other analysis, the multiwell structure and substrate may be disengaged from the frame, inverted 180°, and then reengaged with the frame in the inverted orientation.

More particularly, the present invention is directed to a method comprising the steps of: (a) collecting input information from said consumer regarding a plurality of characteristics associated with hair and scalp condition of said consumer; (b) providing a moisture meter for measuring said scalp moisture content; (c) using said meter to obtain at least two measured moisture content values from head of said consumer; (d) using said input information collected in step (a) and said measured moisture content values obtained in step (c) to recommend at least one hair care product that will be effective for said consumer in improving health for said hair and scalp of said consumer; and (e) providing said consumer with information regarding said at least one hair care product thereby allowing said consumer to use said at least one hair care product to provide optimum health for said hair and scalp of said consumer.

An instrument driver is in communication with the controller and has a guide instrument interface including a plurality of guide instrument drive elements responsive to control signals generated, at least in part, by the master input device. An elongate guide instrument has a base, distal end, and a working lumen, wherein the guide instrument base is operatively coupled to the guide instrument interface. The guide instrument includes a plurality of guide instrument control elements operatively coupled to respective guide drive elements and secured to the distal end of the guide instrument. The guide instrument control elements are axially moveable relative to the guide instrument such that movement of the guide instrument distal end may be controlled by the master input device.
