The method comprises steps of: selecting, at a receiving end, a codeword from a predetermined correlation-matrix codebook comprising a plurality of codewords according to a predetermined criterion to represent a correlation matrix to be fed back (300); and feeding back an index of the selected codeword in the predetermined correlation-matrix codebook to a transmitting end (302); wherein each codeword is a codeword matrix for approximating a correlation matrix of an antenna array at the transmitting end. According to the present invention, it is possible to take good advantage of the characteristics of closely-spaced ULA antennas and spatial correlation thereof, design a corresponding codebook for quantization and feedback, and reduce feedback overhead and computational complexity so as to improve the system performance of a spatial correlation aided system, such as a MIMO system.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to methods and apparatuses for the channel measurement and feedback of a multi-dimensional antenna array. Specifically, according to embodiments of the present invention, the primary inventive idea is to allow a base station equipped with a multi-dimensional antenna array to configure more than one class of CSI-RS, wherein each class of CSI-RS is for use in a channel measurement at the UE for a different dimension of the multi-dimensional antenna array. The base station then transmits the generated configuration information to the UE so that the UE may perform channel measurement specific to different dimensions, for example, by selecting different codebooks for the channel measurement for different dimensions. In this way, it is possible to increase the channel measurement precision of the multi-dimensional antenna array, reduce the measurement feedback overhead and improve the system performance.

    摘要: The present invention relates to technique for frame synchronization in a distributed MIMO-OFDM system, and the method thereof comprises: generating step: generating preambles for synchronization at respective transmitting antennas using PN sequences with different lengths which have one-to-one correspondence to the respective transmitting antennas by a transmitter; locating step: performing calculation using correlation calculators with width of window corresponding to the lengths of the PN sequences to locate head of frame by a receiver. The present invention proposes a solution for frame synchronization using sequences with non-equal periods in a distributed MIMO-OFDM system, and head of the frames transmitting from respective transmitting antennas can be accurately found using correlation calculation at a receiver by means of the technique. Since the PN sequences with different lengths are used at respective transmitting antennas to form corresponding preambles, when a correlation calculator corresponding to a certain transmitting antenna is used, all data or preambles at other antennas can not produce interference, i.e. delay between distributed transmitting antennas can not has an effect on detection of head of frame at a certain transmitting antenna.
