    摘要: A sorting system may include a sorting apparatus coupled to a programmable control system which is configured to actuate the sorting apparatus so that it assembles similar products for packaging in an arbitrary, user imposed order or selection bias. In preferred implementations, a user may activate a biasing protocol pursuant to which items bearing certain images appear with a disproportionate frequency on the top of a stack of items such that the selected images are the most common images viewable through a transparent product packaging. In certain implementations, empirical sales data is used to determine weighting factors used in the biasing protocol. In still other implementations, a more specific ordering protocol is imposed by a user such that some or all of the sequence of items in a stack or collection is arbitrarily imposed.

    摘要: A wire nail for use with a powered nail-driving tool has a full-round head with an axis that is offset from an axis of the integrally formed shank. An outer circumferential surface of the shank is at least as offset from the shank axis in one radial direction as a circumferential surface of the head in that radial direction. Accordingly, such nails may be collated shank-to-shank in a strip of wire nails such that adjoining shanks are both parallel and touching. During manufacture of the wire nail, a notch is formed in the shank at the intersection between the shank and the head. The notch and the head axis are disposed on opposite sides of the shank axis from each other. The notch facilitates improved metal flow during the head-forming procedure and results in strong shank to head connections.

    摘要: A printing apparatus (1) for printing an image onto a 3-dimensional surface of a plastics article such as a mobile telephone or computer mouse (not shown) has a housing (2) having a slot (3) for receiving a drawer (4) for receiving one of more of the articles to be printed. The drawer (4) is provided with clamp release buttons (5) on a front surface (6) thereof. The housing (2) contains a heater box (7), located above the slot (3), and having a fan (8) for directing hot air through a separator plate (9) onto a transfer element (not shown) mounted on the top of drawer (4) over the article on which an image is to be printed. The transfer element has a support layer of met,allised amorphous polyethylene terephthalate (APET) having an aqueous coating of polyvinyl polymers, which may also contain synthetic silica, surfactants and optical brightening agents. The metallisation is formed by applying one or more metallic coatings to one side of the APET film during manufacture. The heater box (7) is provided with a heater (not shown) which is controlled by means of an electrical enclosure (10) containing a programmable logic controller (PLC) and heating controller.

    摘要: This invention produces three-dimensional shapes such as window lineals by first lining a foam die with a continuously moving reinforcing veil. Once the veil is in the foam die, a foam is blown into the die. The foam expands in the die forcing the veil against the die wall. The veil is selected so that the foam never fully penetrates the veil, but adheres to it. The material exiting the foam die is now properly shaped to enter the curing die. Resin is then injected onto the foam core where it penetrates the veil, is cured in the heated curing die and exits as a finished product of a plastic skin adhered to a foam core with a veil sandwiched therebetween.

    摘要: A jitter measurement circuit and method having an input for receiving a reference signal whose jitter is to be measured, an input for receiving a clock signal having a series of cycles, and a measurement circuit for measuring the delay between the reference signal and the clock signal on a cycle by cycle bases, giving a cycle to cycle jitter measurement. The measurement circuit includes a plurality of n stages, each stage having a delay element including an input. The second and later delay elements have their inputs connected to the output of the previous stage and the first delay element has an input for receiving the reference signal. One of n latches is connected to the input of a corresponding one of the delay elements. Each latch has a clock input for receiving the clock signal, and an output for latching the value on the latches input when the clock input is clocked by an edge of the clock signal. An analysis logic circuit is provided having a plurality of n inputs connected to the outputs of the latches. The analysis logic circuit analyzes the values on the latches to give a measure of jitter.

    摘要: A test circuit within an existing design to enable the test circuit to test directly within the circuit. This invention provides a way to test and measure the leakage of the PLL loop filter capacitor leakage during test with a simple digital tester using existing pins. The test PLL circuit has circuit a plurality of capacitors and responsive amplifiers circuits for measuring leakage including a first capacitor set having multiple transistors coupled in series and with a reference resistor circuit coupled to a first amplifier and a second capacitor set having multiple transistors coupled in series and said reference resistor circuit coupled to a second amplifier to measure the leaking across the respective capacitors coupled to said first and second amplifiers and to provide an output of the leakage for measurement with the output of said first and second amplifiers. The reference resistor circuit is broken into several series resistors and additional transistors and resistors are supplied with their terminals shorted out, to allow for RIT-B circuit tuning. The output of the test circuit provides the measurement of analog leakage to a digital tester for testing of chips having the circuit during manufacturing test.
