Abstract: A first node performs copy (virtual copy) of address mapping between a virtual volume and a pool to a first virtual volume to create a third virtual volume in the first node. A second node performs mapping from a first pool volume in the second node to the third virtual volume in the first node, links an address of the first pool volume, which is mapped to the third virtual volume, to an address of a second virtual volume in the second node on a one-to-one basis, and performs log-structured write of the data in the second virtual volume to a second pool volume in the second node.

Abstract: A system including a computer provided with a memory configured to store a program and a first CPU (central processing unit) configured to execute the program and a storage apparatus provided with a drive coupled to the computer to store data and a second CPU configured to control storage of data in the drive according to an IO request issued by the program. The first CPU transmits an IO proposed plan which is information on the IO request to be issued by the program to the storage apparatus. The second CPU determines to adopt the IO proposed plan based on a resource utilization rate of the storage apparatus when the process of the IO request to be issued is executed and transmits a notification indicating the adopted IO proposed plan to the computer. The first CPU issues an IO request relating to the IO proposed plan based on the notification.

Abstract: A server storage system comprises a plurality of server resources and a plurality of storage resources. A management system stores allocation control information. The allocation control information represents correspondences among resource types and resource quantities of exclusively allocated server resources and storage resources, resource types and resource quantities of commonly allocated server resources and storage resources, and virtual server load characteristics which are characteristics of virtual server loads. The management system accepts a virtual server creation instruction which is associated with one or more types of load characteristic information which is inputted by a manager and which relates to virtual server load characteristics, and on the basis of the allocation control information and the one or more types of load characteristic information, selects the exclusively allocated server resources and storage resources. The management system allocates the selected resources to a target virtual server. The allocation control information may be modified.

Abstract: In a burstable instance recommendation server including a processor, and providing information on a burstable instance provided by a public cloud, the burstable instance being a candidate to which a predetermined instance under utilization is migrated, the processor identifies a first candidate burstable instance provided by the public cloud based on performance time series data of the instance under utilization. The processor calculates high load performance time series data in which occurrence of a load higher than in the performance time series data is estimated on the identified first candidate burstable instance, and the processor calculates a penalty in case of the high load performance time series data. The processor recognizably displays a cost of the first candidate burstable instance and the penalty.

Abstract: Visibility of relevance of detailed configurations is improved while deterioration of the visibility of a general configuration between nodes is suppressed. A node coordinate calculation process calculates, upon calculation of deployment coordinates of each node, a degree of importance of an infrastructure resource and a degree of importance of an application, and weights the distance between the application node and the infrastructure node with the reciprocal of the degree of importance of the infrastructure node. Then, the node coordinate calculation process determines deployment of the application node such that the application node is deployed in the proximity of a comparatively important infrastructure node, and determines deployment of the application node on the basis of the degrees of importance of the applications such that a comparatively important application is deployed closely to the infrastructure node.
