Abstract:
The vehicle-use generator driven by a vehicle engine at a rotating shaft thereof includes a rotor rotatably mounted to said rotating shaft, a stator fixedly located radially outwardly of the rotor, a cooling fan fixed to the rotor to rotate together with the rotating shaft in order to generate cooling air for cooling the stator, and a housing housing the rotor and the stator and rotatably supporting the rotating shaft. The housing is provided with a plurality of ribs arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotating shaft so as to form a plurality of cooling air outlet windows. The plurality of the ribs are inclined with respect to a radial direction of the rotating shaft, and shaped such that widths of the plurality of the ribs are gradually changed thereamong cyclically in the circumferential direction.
Abstract:
A display device divides each frame into a number of subframes and displays one of the subframes after another. The device includes a correction circuit for correcting a subframe signal representing one subframe by reference to another subframe signal representing another subframe. Each said subframe is displayed in accordance with the subframe signal that has been corrected by the correction circuit.
Abstract:
A piezoelectric loudspeaker includes a diaphragm and a piezoelectric element bonded on a principal surface of the diaphragm. An electrode layer is provided on the surface of the piezoelectric element. The piezoelectric element has a structure formed by alternately laminating at least three piezoelectric layers and electrode layers in order to achieve a sufficient driving force. A conductive path composed of a strip-shaped metal foil and having an adhesive layer on the reverse face thereof is provided on the surface of the electrode layer. The adhesive layer may be conductive or nonconductive. Conductive paste having a low rigidity and a low volume resistivity is applied so as to be disposed over the surfaces of the conductive path and the electrode layer. Thus, a conductive layer having a Young's modulus of 100 MPa or less and a volume resistivity of 6×10−3 Ωcm or less is provided.
Abstract:
An angle member 9 is fixed to an insert 5 in a state in which a mounting portion 9a of the angle member 9 is fitted in a groove portion 5a depressed towards a core portion 4 side, whereby there is no case where an impact force applied to the angle member 9 and a connecting bar is transmitted directly to tubes 2, so that a possibility that a damage such as a crack is generated in the tubes 2 can be reduced. Consequently, the large vibration of a heat exchanging unit 7 can be suppressed while preventing the direct transmission of the impact force applied to the angle member 9 to the tubes 2.
Abstract:
A projection type display device includes: a light source for emitting light including multiple light components falling within different wavelength ranges; pixels for modulating the light independently; a first optical system, which receives the light from the light source and directs it toward the pixels; and a second optical system, which projects the light, modulated by the pixels, onto a projection plane. The first optical system includes an optical element for converging the light components onto mutually different ones of the pixels in accordance with their wavelength ranges. The pixels are arranged in a predetermined azimuth on a panel plane where the pixels are defined. The element has a first length in a first direction defined by the azimuth and a second length, greater than the first length, in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The element converges the light components in the first and second directions.
Abstract:
A data process of high performance is realized while generating a reference clock of a predetermined frequency without being influenced by a frequency fluctuation of a data transmission clock which is supplied through an expansion bus. A micro-computer measures the frequency of the data transmission clock and sets a frequency of the reference clock which is generated by a PLL circuit on the basis of the measured frequency.
Abstract:
A projection type image display apparatus of the present invention includes: a light source; a polarization selective reflection element having a function of reflecting or transmitting a light beam from the light source in accordance with a polarization direction thereof; and an element for modulating a polarization plane of an incident light beam in accordance with an image to be displayed. The polarization selective reflection element is film-like and has an optical transmission axis and an optical reflection axis. The polarization selective reflection element transmits a first linearly polarized light beam, and reflects a second linearly polarized light beam having a polarization plane orthogonal to a polarization plane of the first linearly polarized light beam, regardless of a direction of incidence of a light beam with respect to the polarization selective reflection element.
Abstract:
A process for producing a toner for developing electrostatic image is disclosed which comprises preparing a suspension of a mixed solution of a polymerizable monomer system containing at least a coloring agent and a release agent and an aqueous medium system and polymerizing the suspension, wherein the suspension is prepared by jetting the mixed solution through a nozzle under elevated pressure in a flowing direction which is forced to vary so that the mixed solution collides with each other or with a predetermined plane to prepare suspended grains, and immediately passing the mixed solution through an apparatus for throttling the path so that back pressure and shearing stress produced by the throttling apparatus are used to adjust the grain diameter and grain size distribution of the suspended grains. The process provides a toner having a small grain diameter and a narrow grain size distribution and comprising additives homogeneously dispersed therein.
Abstract:
In a color liquid-crystal display apparatus using mosaic arrangements, the same color of picture elements which are driven by the same signal electrode are alternately arranged right and left. Accordingly, all that is necessary is that the same color of picture signal is applied upon the same signal electrode in spite of the mosaic arrangement. Thus, a circuit which switches a color image signal of an analog line memory is unnecessary, so that the driving circuit is extremely simplified.
Abstract:
A projection type image display apparatus which includes an arc lamp for emitting light rays by arc discharge, a reflecting mirror for reflecting the light from the arc lamp, the light rays being made parallel by an optical means such as a condenser lens, and projected into a transmissive display panel. The parallel rays are focused by the microlens array in the respective picture elements. The light rays through the transmissive display panel are projected onto a screen. The arc of the arc lamp is directed perpendicularly to the optical axis of an optical system so that the light rays are made parallel with the optical axis by the optical means.
