摘要: An image display unit comprising a high-resistance gap section disposed between a grounding section and the outer peripheral edge of a metal back layer so as to surround the outer peripheral edge, the high-resistance gap section having a surface roughness of 1.0 to 15.0 μm. The high-resistance gap section can have a high-resistance coating layer with a surface resistivity of 1×109 to 1×1015 Ω/□. The high-resistance gap section can be formed of plural regions so disposed that their surface roughness or surface resistivity sequentially increases from the inner side toward the outer side. Accordingly, surface discharge from the outer peripheral edge of a metal back layer is restricted to prevent the destruction or deterioration of an electron emission element and a fluorescent surface.

摘要: An image display device having a vacuum envelope which has a light transmissible panel, a funnel and a neck, its inside held vacuum, a phosphor layer is formed on the inside surface of the light transmissible panel, an electron gun is disposed within the neck. An antistatic film which contains high-resistance fine particles having a specific resistivity of 106 to 109 Ω·cm is formed on inside wall of the neck. The image display device is free from deterioration of display characteristics caused by a change of the track of electrons emitted by the application of voltage, a spark in a tube, or a leakage current.

摘要: The high density slave magnetic recording media comprising on a non-magnetic substrate a magnetic recording layer coated with magnetic hexagonal ferrite powder along with a binder component to transfer the digital signals stored on the master magnetic recording media by the magnetic contact duplication process, is characterized in that the perpendicular squareness ratio of the magnetic recording layer is not less than 0.58 and is less than 0.7, center line average roughness Ra is not more than 0.01 .mu.m, and the number of convex projections whose pitches are 10 to 90 .mu.m and whose height is not less than 0.03 .mu.m pp (bottom to top) is not more than 10 per 1 mm of running direction. The slave magnetic recording media permits the functionally enough duplication efficiency of digital signals by the magnetic contact duplication process and can considerably curb the error rate during the reproduction of the duplicated digital signals.

摘要: A method for metallizing a phosphor screen for a cathode ray tube including the steps of forming a volatilizable substrate on the surface of the phosphor screen and depositing a metal layer on the substrate, followed by heating for volatilizing the substrate, said substrate comprising a laminate of superposed layers respectively representing different organic materials having different thermal decomposition points. This disclosed method is advantageous in that the substrate can be volatilized without causing blistering of the metal layer and the formed metal layer is enabled to reflect light more effectively.

摘要: A screen display section and a control section are formed as separate units, enabling the sections to be separated from each other and integrally assembled together through a rigid bracket. Further, the screen display section and the control section respectively independently have connector receiving spaces. By this construction, the screen display section and the control section can be separated from each other and integrated with each other when required, and even in bad weather, water drops do not enter into the insides of the screen display section and the control section and into the connector receiving spaces, which enables safe and easy separation operation and integration operation.
