Abstract: To make a display device inconspicuous. A display system includes a base and a display device attached to the base. The display device includes a plurality of inorganic light emitters arrayed in a matrix with a row-column configuration and a surface layer. The surface layer is provided in a traveling direction of light emitted from the inorganic light emitters with respect to the inorganic light emitters and includes a plurality of transmission parts and a blocking part. The transmission parts are provided in a matrix with a row-column configuration so as to overlap the inorganic light emitters when viewed from the traveling direction of the light and allow the light from the inorganic light emitters to pass therethrough. The blocking part blocks the light from the inorganic light emitters. The inorganic light emitters are provided overlapping the transmission parts provided to the surface layer.

Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of first pixels and a plurality of second pixels provided to the substrate, a plurality of inorganic light emitting elements provided to the respective first pixels and the respective second pixels, a plurality of signal lines configured to supply a signal to the first pixels and the second pixels, and a plurality of power supply lines configured to supply a power supply potential to the first pixels and the second pixels. At least one or more of the signal lines are provided in a layer different from a layer of the power supply lines in the first pixels, and the signal lines and the power supply lines are provided in the same layer in the second pixels.

Abstract: A provided is a liquid crystal display device with a high definition screen and less color mixture. On an array substrate, a pixel is formed between the adjacent video signal lines, a color filter is formed within the pixel, a flattening film is formed on the color filter, a lower layer is formed on the flattening film, and an upper layer having a slit is formed on the lower layer with an interlayer insulating film interposed therebetween; and on the array substrate, an opposite substrate is arranged with a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween. When a distance from the top of the video signal line working as a light shielding film to the bottom of the liquid crystal layer is defined as d and a space between the centers of the video signal lines separating the pixel is defined as w, a relation of d≦0.3w is satisfied.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a liquid crystal display device includes, in sequence, a thin-film transistor substrate comprising a thin-film transistor, a liquid crystal layer, and a counter substrate. The thin-film transistor substrate includes: a first translucent electrode; a color filter; metal wiring that is provided above the color filter and electrically coupled with the first translucent electrode; a light-absorbing layer provided on the metal wiring; and an optical interference layer provided on the light-absorbing layer. The optical interference layer includes the first translucent electrode.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a TFT substrate, a CF substrate, and a liquid crystal interposed between the TFT substrate and the CF substrate, and drives the liquid crystal in a horizontal electric field. The TFT substrate includes a recess, and the CF substrate includes a columnar protrusion. Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a substrate; a plurality of pixels provided to the substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements provided to the pixels; and a first light diffusion layer including a plurality of light diffusion structures and having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the second surface facing the substrate with the light emitting elements interposed between the second surface and the substrate. The light diffusion structures each include a plurality of high refractive index layers and a plurality of low refractive index layers. The high refractive index layers and the low refractive index layers are alternately layered in a thickness direction of the first light diffusion layer. The high refractive index layers and the low refractive index layers are each curved and recessed in a direction from the first surface toward the second surface.

Abstract: There is provided a high-definition liquid crystal display device that can prevent flicker due to a reduction in the pixel potential in a low-frequency drive of about 10 Hz to reduce power consumption. The pixel has a TFT formed of Poly-Si as a switching element. In the pixel, a capacitance insulating film is formed on a planar first electrode on which a comb-shaped second electrode is fanned. When the film thickness of the insulating film is d and the dielectric constant at 10 Hz frequency is ε, it is given that εd≧5×10−6 m at 10 Hz frequency. The capacitance insulating film does not have a hysteresis characteristic. The refractive index of the capacitance insulating film with respect to a light of a wavelength of 632.8 nm is 1.7 to 2.0.
