摘要： A method for purifying oligonucleotides by displacement chromatography on anion-exchange media, using high affinity, low molecular weight (less than about 10000 Da) displacers, is disclosed. Several examples of high affinity, low molecular weight anionic displacers are provided, including polycyclic aromatic compounds having sulfonic acid moieties attached thereon. The efficacy of the technique for high resolution separation of oligonucleotides is demonstrated for an industrial mixture.

摘要： An RF sensor having a novel current sensing probe and a voltage sensing probe to measure voltage and current. The current sensor is disposed in a transmission line to link all of the flux generated by the flowing current in order to obtain an accurate measurement. The voltage sensor is a flat plate which operates as a capacitive plate to sense voltage on a center conductor of the transmission line, in which the measured voltage is obtained across a resistance leg of a R-C differentiator circuit formed by the characteristic impedance of a connecting transmission line and a capacitance of the plate, which is positioned proximal to the center conductor.

摘要： A packet switch receives data and processes it for assembly into packages. A bus allows communication between each of the data processing units of the switch and one or more storage units for storing the data packets. Arbitration for deciding which of the processing units will be granted access to the bus is performed by a system which selectively and alterably designates any of at least two different levels of priority of access to the bus for each of the processing units, and the relative percentages of time of access for the different priorty levels. The system assures greater access to the bus by those of the processing units having the higher level of priority. If communication is provided by two buses, the requests for access are alternated between them. The arbitration system provides selective access to the bus in any of a plurality of bus cycles including a read cycle, a write cycle and a read/modify/write cycle, and grants a request for access from a higher priority processing unit within one bus cycle.

摘要： A composite panel is described in which the face sheets and the core have properties such that the panel produces a double wall resonance near the low frequency end of the principal speech bands and in which the panel produces interaction between the symmetric and antisymmetric mode in the principal speech bands, thereby providing greater than mass-law transmission loss over a substantial portion of the audio frequency spectrum. At frequencies above the principal speech bands effects are determined primarily by the properties of the individual face sheets.

摘要： An embodiment of a method for recovering nitric acid from acid pickling solution includes introducing a treating material comprising at least one chemical into a pickling solution comprising free nitric acid. The treating material reacts with at least a portion of the free nitric acid in the pickling solution and produces NOx. A gas stream comprising at least a portion of the NOx is contacted with ozone, thereby forming oxidation products including nitrogen sesquioxide and nitrogen pentoxide. At least a portion of the nitrogen sesquioxide and nitrogen pentoxide is contacted with water, thereby forming nitric acid, and at least a portion of the nitric acid is collected.
