Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for lining a wellbore. In certain aspects, the systems and methods comprise providing a fluid composition that is solidifiable or gellable on exposure to actinic radiation of a predetermined wavelength at the wall of open-hole wellbore and providing actinic radiation at the predetermined wavelength to solidify or gel the composition.
Abstract:
A computer system includes an electronic recording system and a pen input device that is suitable for use with forms in a paperless environment and optionally a paper environment. The pen input device may be an inertial type device so that it can be used on virtual writing surfaces and may optionally be configured to have a selectable electronic edit function, such as an electronic erase, highlight and red-line function. In accordance with an important aspect of the invention, the computer system is provided with an electronic forms library. These forms are selectable by the pen input device. The pen input device may also be configured to create the forms that it uses. The pen input device is able to fill out a virtual form on a virtual writing surface and transmit the data to the computer system for recordation. The pen input device may also be configured with a voice to text function which enables boxes on a form, selected by the pen input device, to be filled in via voice commands. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, the pen input device is provided with enhanced functionality relative to known pen input devices including the ability to engage in pen peer-to-peer communication among multiple input devices including other pen input devices in an ad hoc or planned network to allow collaboration among multiple pen input devices to complete the required data on a selected form. In accordance with another important feature of the invention, the pen input device may be configured with an inking feature that can be used within a browser application which provides the ability of multi-functional pen input devices which include an electronic stylus to create a form on a tablet PC with the electronic stylus using inking in a browser application and authentication of input devices in a network. The system also includes a voice to text application to enable form data to be completed by way of voice.
Abstract:
An on-board evaporative emission leak detection system and method that detects leakage from an evaporative emission space of a fuel system of an automotive vehicle. A test includes an initialization, or stabilization, phase during which a differential between pressure in the evaporative emission space and atmospheric pressure is created, and then varied, over time, within a range of differential pressures suitable for performing a leak detection test. This varying of pressure differential alternately increases the created pressure differential above a nominal pressure differential and decreases the created pressure differential below the nominal pressure differential. The leak detection test is then performed.
Abstract:
A method of producing a curable prepreg which comprises (i) sandwiching a multi-ply fabric layer comprising at least two superposed sheets of woven reinforcing fabric between solid films of a curable resin composition and (ii) heating the resulting sandwich under pressure so that the resin composition impregnates the sheets of woven reinforcing fabric to form a coherent curable structure.

Abstract:
Sensitive material, e.g. lithium electrode material, is provided with a protective layer of fluid-impermeable material, which is subsequantly rendered permeable by altering its physical structure, e.g. by perforation, without altering its composition. The permeable material can act, for example, as an electrode separator when the resulting article is assembled into an electrolytic cell, and the protected material can be processed, e.g. rolled into thin sheets, and conveniently fed to automatic assembly apparatus.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to a tool which is connected to a conventional air-powered chisel to remove old rivets and reapply new rivets, the tool including a collar secured by set screws to a chuck end portion of the power chisel and carrying a sleeve slidably receiving a rod which in turn has a support or arm transverse thereto, a handle is pivotally connected to the rod to move the rod relative to the sleeve for bringing the arm into intimate relationship to an associated rivet, the arm having a bore through which a rivet can pass when driven from the element by a punch associated with the power chisel, and an anvil housed relative to the bore and having a recess in an enlarged head for accommodating the head of a new rivet which is upset by a riveting bit carried by the power chisel.
Abstract:
Acetic anhydride is prepared by reacting, at elevated temperature, methyl acetate or dimethyl ether with carbon monoxide in the presence of an effective amount of a catalyst which comprises: (1) cobalt, (2) a compound containing at least one quaternary nitrogen or phosphorus atom and (3) a source of iodide or bromide wherein the atomic ratio of iodide or bromide to cobalt is from 0.5:1 to 5:1. The compound containing at least one quaternary nitrogen or phosphorus atom can optionally be generated in situ by a quaternization reaction.
Abstract:
Embodiments are directed towards protecting against polymorphic cheat codes in a video game environment. A detour analyzer analyzes game code in client memory for possible hooks to parasite code. For each detected hook to parasite code, hook and/or parasite information is determined to generate a hook/parasite signatures, which are sent to a remote network device. Based on the hook/parasite signatures a weighted combination of scores are generated that is useable to determine a probability value that the parasite code is cheat code. If the determined probability value indicates cheat code, the user of the client device may be banned from future game play. Additionally, the hook/parasite signature information may be used to update the data store to detect polymorphic changes in the cheat code.
Abstract:
A system and method for determining and providing one or more guest passes for temporary access to one or more video games to a first player that was previously granted membership to a platform that offers access to playing these video games. One or more different determinations are made on information related to the first player and/or available video games to generate one or more guest passes for a video game that is at least somewhat relevant to the first player. In at least one embodiment, one or more of the different determinations can be intrinsically and/or extrinsically weighted to further refine the generation of a guest pass for a video games that is at least somewhat relevant to the first player, and thereby more likely to be offered by the first player to a second player. Also, the platform enables the determining and generating of the one or more guest passes to the one or more video games for the first player.
