Abstract:
A method of acquiring multimedia data and a multimedia data acquisition apparatus are disclosed. Pre-acquisition of multimedia data is performed before a user activates a triggering device, such as a shutter. The invention improves the quality of multimedia acquiring. By using the processing procedure of the invention, when capturing images, the user can select the image having the best quality and being acquired at the best timing according to the image capturing results.

Abstract:
A monolithic rotor comprising first and second rotor regions axially aligned within the monolithic rotor and a transition zone therebetween. The first and second rotor regions are formed of different alloys and the transition zone having a composition that differs from and varies between the first and second rotor regions. The first rotor region is located within a high pressure region of the monolithic rotor and is formed from an alloy chosen from the group consisting of CrMoV low alloy steels, martensitic stainless steels containing about 11 to about 14 weight percent chromium, Fe—Ni alloys, and nickel-base alloys. The second rotor region is located within a low pressure region of the monolithic rotor and is formed from an alloy chosen from the group consisting of NiCrMoV low alloy steels and martensitic stainless steels containing about 11 to about 14 weight percent chromium.
Abstract:
A portable file-playing control device includes a housing; an input connector common to data input and power input, disposed in and partially exposed from the housing for coupling to a data source in a data-input state and coupling to a power source in a data-output state; a memory disposed in the housing for storing therein data received from the data source via the input connector; and an output connector disposed in and partially exposed from the housing for coupling to a playing apparatus in the data-output state. By storing a plurality of file folders in the portable file-playing control device, one of the file folders can be selected via a command interface to be played by the playing apparatus when the portable file-playing control device is made to communicate with the playing apparatus.
Abstract:
A reference cell transistor with a series resistance to improve reliability in reading cells in an associated memory array. The reference cell transistor is coupled in series with a resistive element such that a reference current flows therethrough to reduce a voltage between a gate and a source of the reference cell transistor. This bends the Ids versus Vgate curve of the reference cell downward and compensates for irregularities in the resistance seen in series with the memory cell transistors. In this fashion, the margin when reading memory cells is improved and the reference current is more reliable. The resistive element may be external to a region having the reference cell transistor. Alternatively, the resistive element may be internal to a region with the memory array and reference cell. For example, it may be formed by extending the source region of the reference cell transistor.
Abstract:
An adjustable telescopic apparatus includes: a master pipe body with an axle opening at one end and a pivot opening at the other end; an operating member adjustably installed in the pivot opening of the master pipe body; a slave pipe body with a closed end and an open end movably disposed in the master pipe body with the closed end extending out from the axis opening of the master pipe body; a throttle member with a piston portion and a plurality of hermetic pieces installed at the open end of the slave pipe body for dividing said master pipe body into an oil containing portion to be filled with hydraulic oil and an air space portion over the piston portion of the throttle member; and a valve member with a threaded body portion installed in the piston portion of the throttle member for being movably adjusted along with the operating member so as to allow the hydraulic oil in the master pipe body to be compressed and expanded therein through the throttle member; whereby, the moving speed and the force required to collapse the slave pipe body into the master pipe body can be optionally adjusted for obtaining desired telescopic operations.
Abstract:
The invention discloses a lifting telescoping tube which comprises a first tube receiving a pressure liquid, a second tube filled with a pressure gas, a first piston affixed to one open end of the second tube having a first through-passage and a second through-passage intercommunicating the first and second tubes, a check valve disposed in the second through-passage for preventing the pressure liquid from flowing into the first tube from the second tube, a second piston provided in the second tube dividing the second tube into a variable-volume liquid chamber and a variable-volume gas chamber.
Abstract:
A method of operating a robot includes electronically receiving images and augmenting the images by overlaying a representation of the robot on the images. The robot representation includes user-selectable portions. The method includes electronically displaying the augmented images and receiving an indication of a selection of at least one user-selectable portion of the robot representation. The method also includes electronically displaying an intent to command the selected at least one user-selectable portion of the robot representation, receiving an input representative of a user interaction with at least one user-selectable portion, and issuing a command to the robot based on the user interaction.
