    摘要: An image forming apparatus has a recording element array including plural recording elements, an image forming section for causing a relative movement between the recording element array and a recording medium, thereby to form an image, and a drive section for driving the recording element array based on image data. A duty control unit varies the recording duty of the recording elements according to the relative movement speed between the recording element array and the recording medium. In another version, an image forming apparatus has a recording element array including plural recording elements, an image forming unit that effects a relative movement between the recording element array and a recording medium, memory for storing image data, a drive unit for driving the recording element array based on the image data read from the memory and an inhibitor for selectively inhibiting the recording operation by the image read from the memory, according to the relative movement speed between the recording element array and the recording medium. In yet another version, an image forming apparatus has a recording element array including plural recording elements, an image forming unit for causing a relative movement between the recording element array and a recording medium, a smoothing unit for applying a smoothing process to the image data, according to the relative movement speed between the recording element array and the recording medium and drive means for driving the recording element array, based on the image data subjected to the smoothing process by the smoothing unit.

    摘要: A tape cassette for use in a tape player includes a cassette case having a main portion with an external size which is substantially the same as that of the case of a different type of tape cassette and an additional portion which extends from one side of the main portion and has a thickness slightly smaller than that of the main portion. An information indicating portion is provided at a lower surface of the additional portion for indicating respective information by whether or not a hole is present at a predetermined position. An information reading member provided in the tape player for determining whether or not a hole is present at each respective predetermined position in the information indicating portion can be located at a position so as not to interfere with the cassette case of the different type of tape cassette. As a result, the information reading member will not hinder the loading operation of the different type of tape cassette into the tape player and the information reading member will not malfunction due to the loading of the different type of tape cassette.

    摘要: According to this invention, during the formation of a fiber-forming polyester by the reaction of a dicarboxylic acid or its functional derivative with a glycol, an aromatic ortho-ester such as hexaphenyl ortho terephthalate is added to the molten polyester whereby a fiber-forming polyester of a low content of free carboxyl groups and diethylene glycol units is prepared. Moreover, the reaction rate of the polycondensation is greatly increased by selecting and using a suitable aromatic ortho-ester and thus there can be obtained a fiber-forming polyester of a very high molecular weight.

    摘要: An HDMI® source determines whether or not an HDMI® sink can receive a sub-signal based on VSDB of E-EDID. When the HDMI® sink can receive the sub-signal, the HDMI® source adds a sub-signal to pixel data of a main image composed of pixel data whose number of bits is smaller than that of transmission pixel data transmitted by a transmitter, thereby constructing transmission pixel data. This data is transmitted by the transmitter through TMDS channels #0 to #2. Furthermore, the HDMI® source transmits a general control packet containing sub-signal information indicating whether or not the sub-signal is contained in the transmission pixel data in the control period of a vertical blanking period. The present invention can be applied to, for example, HDMI®.

The encoding means generates the transmitted word by adding check information generated based on a parity check matrix expressing a spotty-byte error control code and the input information data to the input information data. The decoding means comprises a syndrome generating means for generating a syndrome of the received word based on the parity check matrix; and an error correction means for correcting and detecting the errors in the received word based on the syndrome generated by the syndrome generating means.
