Abstract:
An external AF focus detecting apparatus capable of achieving both good focus detection accuracy for a subject in a short distance and an appropriate amount of processing for a subject in a long distance is provided. In the case where the distance to the subject is less than a predetermined threshold value, with respect to accumulation pixels SA5 to SA25 selected in one of a pair of line sensors, pixels are selected in the other line sensor so as to include more pixels in the direction of shift of an optical image of a field of view, namely, pixels SB5 to SB29 are selected as accumulation pixels. Alternatively, pixels included in a range obtained by shifting by a predetermined number of pixels from the range of the accumulation pixels that have been selected in the one line sensor are selected as the accumulation pixels in the other line sensor.
Abstract:
A pixel selection unit sets an area based on a detection result of a contrast detection unit, in a case where it is determined that reliability of a focusing state detected by a phase difference detection unit is low.

In a recording apparatus that is capable of recording information on a plurality of recording media, i.e., first and second memory cards, the information is recorded on the first and second memory cards simultaneously, the information that has been recorded only on one of the memory cards is left and the information recorded on the other is deleted in dependence upon the available capacities of the memory cards at the end of recording. Performing recording in this manner makes it possible to store continuous data collectively on a single recording medium to the greatest extent possible.
Abstract:
A microscope system includes an acquisition unit that obtains a specimen image acquired by capturing the specimen stained by an element identification dye that visualizes a predetermined cell constituent element and a molecule target dye that visualizes a predetermined target molecule by using a microscope; a dye amount unit that obtains dye amounts of the element identification dye and the molecule target dye that stain corresponding positions on the specimen for each pixel of the image; an element area identification unit that identifies an area of the cell constituent element based on the dye amount of the element identification dye; a condition setting unit that sets the presence or absence of the predetermined target molecule on the cell constituent element as a condition; and an extraction unit that extracts an area of a target portion that satisfies the condition based on the dye amount of the molecule target dye.
Abstract:
The focus detection accuracy of a focus detection device that employs an external AF sensor unit having a pair of line sensors that are each comprised of multiple unit line sensors is improved. The individual line sensors are arranged so that the center of the field of view of an imaging optical system at a predetermined subject distance, at which field-of-view adjustment for causing the field of view of the imaging optical system and the field of view of a focus-detection optical system to match has been carried out, corresponds to the center of one of the multiple unit line sensors included in the individual line sensors.

Abstract:
Polynucleotides which are novel causative genes for cancer are elucidated, and a detection method of the polynucleotides or polypeptides encoded by the polynucleotides, and a kit and a primer set for detection are provided, based on the knowledge gained by the elucidation. In the detection method, a fusion gene comprising part of an SDC4, CD74, EZR, SLC34A2, LRIG3, or TPM3 gene and part of a ROS1 gene, or a fusion protein encoded by the fusion gene is detected. The primer set or the detection kit comprises a sense primer designed based on a portion encoding SDC4, CD74, EZR, SLC34A2, LRIG3, or TPM3 and an antisense primer designed based on a portion encoding ROS1.
Abstract:
A camera unit which is capable of coping with both a case where it is largely displaced from a preset position and a case where it is slightly displaced from the same, and makes it possible to enhance accuracy and reliability in displacement correction. A zoom/focus control circuit and a pan/tilt control circuit drive the camera unit. A memory stores preset information indicative of a shooting position and a focal length of the camera unit. A correction image memory stores correction images shot at different focal lengths at the shooting position. An image comparison circuit compares between an image shot by the camera unit at the shooting position and the stored correction images, and calculates a displacement amount. A CPU corrects the driving amount of the pan/tilt control circuit based on the calculated displacement amount.
Abstract:
A microscope system includes an image acquiring unit that acquires a specimen image formed by capturing a specimen multi-stained by a plurality of pigments using a microscope; a pigment amount acquiring unit that acquires a pigment amount of each pigment staining a corresponding position on the specimen, for each pixel of the specimen image; and a pigment selecting unit that selects a display target pigment from the plurality of pigments. The system also includes a display image generating unit that generates a display image where a staining state of the specimen by the display target pigment is displayed, on the basis of the pigment amount of the display target pigment in each pixel of the specimen image; and a display processing unit that displays the display image on a display unit.
Abstract:
A recording apparatus includes a recording unit, a determination unit, a generation unit, an identification unit, and a control unit. The recording unit records image data on a recording medium. The determination unit determines plural recording media to be allocated to a same group. The generation unit generates order information indicating an order of each recording medium in the group. The order information includes identification information identifying each recording medium. The identification unit identifies a recording medium in the group based on the identification information. The control unit controls the recording unit to record, on each of the plural recording media belonging to the same group, information representing an order of the identified recording medium in the group and information representing a total number of the recording media belonging to the same group, based on an identification result obtained by the identification unit and the order information.
