Abstract:
A waveform display position adjusting apparatus is provided for more conveniently and rapidly adjusting a position at which a waveform is displayed on a waveform display device. The apparatus is configured to adjust a position at which a waveform represented by a waveform input signal is displayed on the display device having a two-dimensional display area. The apparatus comprises a mapping unit for mapping a two-dimensional waveform value space for a waveform input value derived from the waveform input signal to the two-dimensional display area of the display device, and a mapping adjusting unit coupled to the mapping unit for adjusting the mapping. The mapping adjusting unit comprises a continuous mapping adjusting section coupled to the mapping unit for continuous adjusting of the mapping. The mapping adjusting unit also comprises a mapping resetting section coupled to the mapping unit and arranged adjacent to the continuous mapping adjusting section for resetting of the mapping to a predetermined reference state when it is operated.

Provided an industrially excellent method of producing a phenol novolak resin having an ortho ratio of 30% or more by: (1) a method of reacting a phenol and an aldehyde using an oxalic acid catalyst at 110 to 160° C. under pressure; or (2) a method of reacting a phenol and an aldehyde under pressure while removing the heat of reaction by a condenser with controlling a pressure so that water or an organic solvent present in the reaction system is refluxed.

A small and light helical antenna, with a high gain, includes arranging the dielectric cylinder with a helix conductor on the conductive plate and arranging a thin rectangular conductive plate between the lower end of the helix conductor and the feed point in a predetermined position of the conductive plate. The impedance matching is between the input impedance of the helix conductor and a power feeder. The upper and lower conductive plates constitute parallel plate waveguide space, and the probe which comes into the parallel plate waveguide space is in the lower conductive plate side, and the lower end of a thin rectangular conductive plate is connected with the lower end of a probe.

A magnetic recording apparatus has a two-layered medium of a soft magnetic backing layer and a perpendicular recording layer, and a perpendicular recording head having a recording section including a main magnetic pole, an auxiliary magnetic pole and an exciting coil, and a reproducing section including a reproducing element sandwiched between a pair of reproducing shields, the reproducing section and the recording section being formed separately from each other. The auxiliary magnetic pole is recessed from the air-bearing surface of the main magnetic pole, and the distance between the auxiliary magnetic pole and the reproducing shield positioned adjacent to the auxiliary magnetic pole is set to permit a magnetic field generated under the auxiliary magnetic pole to be larger than a magnetic field under the shield.
Abstract:
A TDMA in a CATV center and a CAU in a subscriber home communicate a B-ch idle/busy map indicating the idle/busy state of a B channel in synchronization with each other, so that the allocation of the B channel dedicated to sound and the C channel dedicated to data in a transmission frame can be dynamically changed according to the contents of the B-ch idle/busy map. Consequently, it becomes possible to effectively use a transmission bandwidth up to its maximum.

A micro-processing method is provided for forming a structure adapted to confine electrons within a micro-region. The method comprises steps of arranging a probe oppositely relative to a non-electroconductive thin film arranged on an electroconductive substrate, placing the probe on or near the surface to be processed of the non-electroconductive thin film, applying a voltage between the probe and the substrate to form an enhanced electroconductivity region as compared with the remaining area in the non-electroconductive thin film, and oxidizing the interface of the substrate and the non-electroconductive thin film.
Abstract:
Radio waves from the point f2 of the horn 7 are reflected in the diagonal direction at the sub reflector 3 for transmitting and receiving the radio waves and then further reflected at the main reflector 5 so that a fan-shaped beam narrow in the lateral direction is designed to direct in the horizontal direction, and the main reflector 5, the sub reflector 3, and the horn 7 are built into an antenna proper which is designed to be rotatable around the vertial axis 8 passing the point f2 with the rotating means 23, 24, 25 so that the structure is simplified and manufacturing costs are reduced. In order to simplify the structure of the power feeder for the antenna proper, the radar antenna comprises three sections; namely, the antenna proper 1, the cover 30, and the container 28, the container 30 rotatably supporting the antenna 1 and having a waveguide 26 to be connected to the rotating means 24, 25 for rotating the antenna proper 1 and the horn 7, the container 28 being designed to house a circuit board 36, to which a transmitting pulse oscillator 31 and a frequency converter 33 to be connected to the waveguide 26 are mounted and a modulation circuit 37 of the transmitting pulse oscillator 31 and an intermediate frequency conversion circuit 38 of the frequency converter 33 are provided.

Improved iron-base powder composition for use in powder metallurgy comprising an iron-base powder to the surfaces of the particles of which either an Fe-Ni powder alloy containing 5-70 wt % Ni or an Fe-Mo alloy powder containing 20-70 wt % Mo or both alloy powders is adhered means of a binder or binders. This iron-base powder composition can be obtained by a process in which either an Fe-Ni alloy powder containing 5-70 wt % Ni or an Fe-Mo alloy powder containing 20-70 wt % Mo or both alloy powders is adhered by thermally melting a binder. The thus obtained iron-base powder composition can be shaped and sintered to produce an iron-base sintered material. The iron-base powder composition is suitable for use in the powder metallurgical manufacture of iron-base sintered parts that require high density, high strength, toughness, wear resistance and good dimensional change stability.
