A method of receiving an acknowledgement (ACK) signal from at least one access terminal (AT) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes transmitting at least one packet via a packet data channel from an access network (AN), receiving at least one ACK signal from the at least one AT using same channelization resources, wherein each AT is assigned a code specific to each AT, and identifying the ACK signal corresponding to the transmitted packet from the received at least one ACK signal.

The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for transmitting or receiving a Multimedia Broadcast Supplement for Public warning system (MBSP) message. One of the embodiments of the present invention, a method for receiving a multimedia broadcast supplement for public warning system (MBSP) message, the method performed by a user equipment (UE) and comprising: receiving a paging message including an MBSP indication field indicating an MBSP notification will be transmitted; receiving a system information block including the MBSP notification including an MBSP related information for allocating a resource for receiving the MBSP message; and receiving the MBSP message through the resource, wherein the MBSP message includes public safety multimedia information for warning a user of the UE.

The present invention relates to a method of transmitting and receiving data in soft handoff of a wireless communication system. According to an aspect of the present invention, in the method of receiving data in soft handoff of a wireless communication system, a mobile station receives a first sequence being generated by interleaving transmission data using a first interleaver pattern, and also receives a second sequence being generated by interleaving the transmission data using a second interleaver pattern. Then, the mobile station combines and decodes the first sequence and the second sequence before receiving an entire frame having the first sequence allocated thereto.

The present description proposes a user equipment for processing data related to contention-based random access in a wireless communication system. The present description proposes to separately handle random access related parameters according to access type of a user equipment. Examples of the access type include normal access and delay tolerant access. In detail, a system information block indicating a first maximum number of preamble transmission applicable to a first type UE performing normal access and a second maximum number of preamble transmission applicable to a second type UE performing delay tolerant access is proposed. Further, back-off interval information used to indicate first type back-off interval information applicable to the first type UE and second type back-off interval information applicable to the second type UE is proposed.

A method and apparatus for extended access barring (EAB) in a wireless communication system. In detail, the present description proposes a DRX cycle threshold, which is used to determine specific mechanism of EAB information update and acquisition. In detail, the present description proposes a method in which a first EAB information update/acquisition scheme is applied when a DRX cycle for a certain UE is greater (i.e., longer) than the DRX cycle threshold and a second EAB information update/acquisition scheme is applied when the DRX cycle is not greater than the DRX cycle threshold.

The present invention is directed to a method and an apparatus for use in a cellular communication system. Specifically, the present invention is directed to a method comprising: transmitting, to one of WLAN Terminations (WTs), a first indication to wake up WLAN module of the UE; if no response for the first indication is received from the one of WTs during a first time duration, transmitting, to all of the WTs, a second indication to wake up the WLAN module of the UE; and if no response for the second indication is received from any of the WTs during a second time duration, transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a third indication related with absence of the UE, and an apparatus therefore.

A method for transmitting feedback information via a Spatial Rank Index (SRI) channel includes determining, at an access terminal, a value of a spatial rank index and transmitting, from the access terminal through the SRI channel, feedback information indicating the determined value of the spatial rank index according to a prescribed coding. The codeword of the prescribed coding is one of: (0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0), (1,0,1,0,1,1,0,1), (0,1,1,1,0,0,1,1), or (1,1,0,1,1,1,1,0).
