Abstract:
A method includes receiving, at a network entity, a circuit switched paging request, wherein the paging request is for a UE that is attached to a packet data network and is registered to a circuit switched network. The method also includes obtaining a calling party number from the circuit switched network, the calling party number being information corresponding to a call from a party calling the UE, and generating a circuit service notification application message comprising more than one message of the circuit switch technology, such that one of message comprises the calling party number. Another operation relates to transmitting, from the network entity to the UE, the circuit service notification application message, the transmitting occurring while the UE is attached to the packet data network and while the UE is operating in an active state for receiving and/or transmitting packet data or signaling messages.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for processing a NAS signaling request. A method for performing a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling process by means of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of receiving a first message that includes information indicating a network failure from a network node of a first network; a step of starting a timer relating to a network selection; and a step of selecting a second network from among network candidates excluding the first network during the operation of the timer relating to a network selection.
Abstract:
A method of processing data associated with mobility of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network is described. A mobility management entity (MME) starts an activation procedure for a default bearer for a packet data network (PDN) connection associated with a local Internet protocol access (LIPA). If a base station rejects an establishment of the default bearer for the PDN connection associated with the LIPA due to a triggered handover, the MME transmits a PDN connection reject message including a cause value, and releasing a network resource allocated for the activation procedure.
Abstract:
A method of receiving an acknowledgement (ACK) signal from at least one access terminal (AT) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes transmitting at least one packet via a packet data channel from an access network (AN), receiving at least one ACK signal from the at least one AT using same channelization resources, wherein each AT is assigned a code specific to each AT, and identifying the ACK signal corresponding to the transmitted packet from the received at least one ACK signal.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data by at least one access terminal (AT) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes ceasing all transmissions by the at least one AT during a duration corresponding to a duration used by an access node (AN) to transmit a superframe preamble, wherein the superframe comprises a plurality of physical frames.

Abstract:
A method and a user equipment (UE) are described for controlling timers in a wireless communication system including a first type network communicating based on a number of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols and a second type network which is different from the first type network. An update message is received that activates an idle mode signaling reduction (ISR) function of the UE. If the ISR function is activated in the UE, a periodic tracking area updating (P-TAU) timer is started, which is used to periodically notify availability of the UE. If the P-TAU timer expires and a mobility management backoff (MM-BO) timer is running, a deactivate ISR timer corresponding to the first type of network is started. The MM-BO timer is configured to start when a MM-BO time value is received at the UE.

Abstract:
A method and a user equipment (UE) for processing data in a communication system are discussed. The method according to an embodiment includes receiving a deactivate bearer context request message; deleting a bearer context identified by a bearer identity in the deactivate bearer context request message; and if a cause code in the deactivate bearer context request message indicates that reactivation is requested, stopping a session management back-off timer associated with a previously-established data connection if the session management back-off timer is running. The session management back-off timer is a timer starting if a session management back-off time value is received at the UE and. The previously-established data connection is associated with an access point name (APN). The method further includes re-initiating a packet data network (PDU) connectivity procedure for the APN after stopping the session management back-off timer.
Abstract:
A method of updating control information related to a location of a user equipment (UE) supporting a first type network and a second type network different from the first type network. The method according to one embodiment is performed by the UE and includes, when the UE enters a cell of the second type network from the first type network, determining to start a location updating procedure which updates a location area of the UE if a mobility management (MM) back-off timer in the UE is running, the UE's Temporary Identity used in Next update (TIN) is set to a Global Unique Temporary Identity (GUTI), and a location area of a current cell is equal to a location area stored in the UE; and starting the location update procedure. The MM back-off timer is a timer running when an MM back-off timer value is received by the UE.
