Abstract:
A mobile terminal including a light guide plate; a plurality of light sources disposed on at least one side of the light guide plate; a display positioned on a front surface of the light guide plate; and a controller configured to control the display to operate in one of operation states including a first state, in which all of the plurality of light sources are activated such that an entire portion of the display is illuminated, and a second state, in which at least one light source corresponding to a partial portion of the display among the plurality of light sources is selectively activated such that the partial portion of the display is illuminated, perform an operation in accordance with a first touch input applied to the partial portion of the display in the second state, and not perform an operation in accordance with a second touch input applied to a remaining portion excluding the partial portion of the display in the second state.
Abstract:
A display panel comprising a light guide plate; a main light source configured to emit light from a first lateral surface of the light guide plate in a first direction; a sub-light source configured to emit light from a second lateral surface vertical to the first lateral surface of the light guide plate in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; and a liquid crystal panel provided in a front surface of the light guide plate and configured to output image information.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a mobile terminal including a window provided on one surface of a terminal body, and having a rear surface formed in a curved shape, a display mounted to the rear surface of the window and configured to output visual information through the window, and a separation-preventing member having one side coupled to the window and the other side coupled to the display, and configured to prevent the display from being separated from the window in a direction that the window and the display are spaced apart from each other.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal comprising a stereoscopic display unit outputting a stereoscopic image is disclosed. In one embodiment the stereoscopic display unit comprises a display element configured to periodically display left and right images, a refractive lens unit disposed to overlap with the display element and configured to change refractive characteristics thereof, and a controller configured to control the refractive characteristics of the refractive lens unit such that a refraction direction of transmitted light is periodically changed to make the left and right images face in different directions.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display is provided that includes a first base substrate including a first surface, a second base substrate including a second surface, a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules positioned between the first and second base substrates and configured to change alignment when electrical power is applied thereto, a first electrode positioned on the second surface and including a plurality of substantially parallel grooves extending in a first direction on a surface facing the first base substrate, the plurality of grooves configured to align the liquid crystal molecules in a preset direction when electrical power is applied, and a second electrode positioned on the first surface or on the second surface, wherein a voltage difference between the first and second electrodes applies the electrical power to the liquid crystal molecules.
