摘要: A multi-lift for lifting and storing motorcycles and other vehicles includes a column, incorporating a vertical threaded shaft therein. The shaft is capable of rotation in opposite directions through a reversing motor. The shaft has a threaded carriage mounted thereon, so that as the shaft rotates in one direction, the vehicle laden carriage may be elevated for storing a vehicle or the reversing motor may be turned in an opposite direction, for lowering a vehicle laden carriage, to provide for unloading a vehicle. The threaded carriage that mounts on the threaded shaft may hold one or more wheeled vehicles, and is telescopically constructed so as to extend its length, to allow for storing one or more vehicles lengthwise thereon.

摘要: A system and method for adjusting the frequency response of a main speaker system used in conjunction with a subwoofer by modifying the input signal in response to user-adjustable settings to compensate for main-speaker effects characteristics in order to produce a desirable blend of the subwoofer sonic output and the main-speaker sonic output.

摘要: The invention relates to using the heat generated during thermal treatment of one or more glass sheets to melt solder. In one nonlimiting embodiment, a lead providing external access to an electrical conductive arrangement, e.g. a conductive member between and connected to spaced bus bars between laminated sheets has an end portion of a connector, e.g. a lead soldered to each of the bus bars during thermal processing of the sheets, e.g. during the lamination of the sheets during a windshield manufacturing process. In another nonlimiting embodiment, the connector is soldered to the electrically conductive arrangement during the annealing of glass blanks following the heating and shaping of the glass blanks. Soldering the leads during the annealing or laminating process eliminated possible thermal damage to the sheet by having the sheet heated during the soldering operation instead of only a small surface portion of the sheet at and eliminates the cost of a separated soldering operation.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a speaker system that more accurately reproduces audio sounds by minimizing the negative effects from sound reflecting from a nearby wall. The invention is embodied in both methods and apparatus of differing forms. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a method that receives an electrical signal embodying an audio signal to be communicated to the speaker, and modifies the electrical signal by a measure that is based upon a separation distance separating the speaker and a wall. In another embodiment, the invention comprises a driver circuit for a an audio amplifier that, in turn, drives a speaker. The driver circuit includes a circuit configured to receive an electrical signal embodying an audio signal to be communicated to the speaker, and a signal modifying circuit configured to modify the electrical signal by a measure that is based upon a separation distance separating the speaker and a wall.

摘要: A laminated transparency includes a first ply having a No. 1 and a No. 2 surface, a second ply having a No. 3 and a No. 4 surface, and an interlayer positioned between the first and second plies. An aesthetic coating is deposited over at least a portion of the first or second plies. The transparency has a color defined by |a*|≧10 and |b*|≧10 and, in one non-limiting embodiment, L*≧40.

摘要: A coating includes a functional coating, such as a solar control coating having at least one metal layer. A topcoat is formed over at least a portion of the functional coating. The topcoat includes a first topcoat layer having a thickness in the range of 0.5 QWOT to 1.5 QWOT with respect to a reference wavelength of 550 nm and a first refractive index, and a second topcoat layer having a thickness in the range of 0.5 QWOT to 1.5 QWOT with respect to a reference wavelength of 550 nm and a second refractive index different from the first refractive index.
