摘要: To provide an apparatus and method for efficiently displaying image content, which is sent and received between a server and a client, in a correct direction. An image content providing server stores, as property information, original angle information indicating correct directions of image content as metadata of the image content. The server generates content information including the original angle information and sends the generated content information to a client. This allows the client to understand the correct direction of the image content received from the server, and to obtain and display image data in the correct direction by performing rotation processing in the client device based on the obtained information or to request the server to perform the rotation processing.

摘要: To provide an automatic image adjustment device that can automatically detect the display positions, display state, and the like of a test pattern displayed on a screen, the imaging angles of the mirror to image an adjustment pattern displayed at the positions corresponding to the vertices of a relatively small rectangle on a screen are first detected. According to the detected imaging angles, the CPU calculates the imaging angles for imaging the adjustment points at the four corners of the screen. Then, on the basis of the imaging angles for the adjustment points at the four corners, the imaging angles for the remaining adjustment points are calculated. Afterwards, the test pattern, such as the one used for convergence adjustment, can be displayed successively at the adjustment points, and the test pattern at each of the adjustment pattern can be imaged by the camera with the mirror being automatically set at the corresponding imaging angle. Thus, information on the display position, display states and the like of the test pattern can be automatically obtained and analyzed.

摘要: A display apparatus using a subfield drive system suppresses pseudo-contours in moving pictures by identifying areas with smoothly varying gradation values, determining the minimum and maximum gradation values in each such area, and processing the area so that all gradations in the range from the minimum gradation value to the maximum gradation value can be displayed without altering the states of any subfields having durations longer than a predetermined duration. This is accomplished by selecting a subfield sequence free of such state alterations and using the selected subfield sequence to display the area, or by modifying the gradation values in the area so as to avoid gradations at which such state alterations occur.

摘要: A heat resistant resin is formed by heating an acrylic monomer composition prepared by copolymerising an acrylic monomer represented by general formula (1) with another monomer that is copolymerisable with the acrylic monomer, the acrylic monomer composition having an acid value of 5 mgKOH/g or less, where each of R1 and R2 is either a hydrogen atom or an organic residue. A 1% tetrahydrofuran solution formed by subjecting the acrylic copolymer to a heat treatment at a temperature of 250° C. for 30 minutes and thereafter dissolving the acrylic copolymer in tetrahydrofuran has a viscosity ranging from 10 cps to 10,000 cps at 25° C. The acrylic polymer does not gel in the manufacture of a heat resistant resin, and by using the acrylic polymer as a material for a heat resistant resin, the resultant heat resistant resin obtained boasts excellent transparency and mouldability, and can be moulded by melting.

摘要: In the production of an N-unsubstituted maleinimide by the ring-closing alcohol-removing treatment of an N-unsubstituted maleinamic ester for conversion into an imide, an acid catalyst or a mono(cyclo)alkyl sulfuric ester is used for the reaction. In this case, the alcohol concentration in the reaction solution is preferable to be adjusted to a low level. By using a maleinamic acid and an alcohol in conjunction with an inert solvent and an acid catalyst, a mixture of maleinamic acid with an acid catalyst, or a mono(cyclo)alkyl sulfuric ester, a corresponding maleinamic ester is obtained. In a method for the production of a maleinamic acid by the reaction of maleic anhydride with ammonia in an inert solvent, the maleinamic acid is obtained by placing a solution of the maleic anhydride in the inorganic solvent in a reactor, meanwhile introducing ammonia gas into the empty space part of the reactor, and allowing the ammonia gas to be absorbed in the solution through the surface of contact between the solution and the ammonia gas. Further, in the method for the production of a maleinamic acid by the reaction of maleic anhydride with ammonia in an inert solvent, the reaction is carried out while the concentration of the maleic anhydride in the reaction solution is kept at a level of not more than 10% by weight or the ammonia concentration in the reaction solution is kept at a level of not less than 0.001% by weight.

摘要: An adjustment reference point is defined as a point on a screen on which a corresponding adjustment point of an image is projected when the image projected by a CRT system video projector is assumed to have no raster distortion. An image correction apparatus of this invention produces a raster distortion correction data on the basis of a difference between the adjustment reference point and the corresponding adjustment point obtained from a video signal. The video signal is obtained by picking up an predetermined image including an adjustment reference point projected on the screen by using a camera device.
