    摘要: A piezoelectric ceramic composition having a large piezoelectric constant (d) and as well having a large Qm value is to be provided. The piezoelectric ceramic composition aimed at has a composition corresponding to a solid solution containing a first compound possessing a rhombohedral crystal-based perovskite structure, a second compound possessing a tetragonal crystal-based perovskite structure, and a third compound. The third compound is a compound oxide containing Bi as a first component element, Mn as a second component element, and a tetravalent metallic element or a pentavalent metallic element as a third component element. The tetravalent metallic element is at least one member selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Hf, and Sn. The pentavalent metallic element is at least one member selected from the group consisting of Nb, Ta, and Sb.

    摘要: Manganese oxide and tantalum oxide are added to a piezoelectric ceramic composition based on lead zinc-niobate titanate zirconate. The composition is suitable for piezo-electric transformers since its mechanical quality factor (Qm) is improved without reducing its electromechanical coupling coefficient (k31), and good high-power properties and high mechanical strength are obtained. In another embodiment, manganese oxide and at least one of antimony oxide and niobium oxide are added to a piezoelectric ceramic composition based on lead zinc-niobate titanate zirconate.

    摘要: The invention provides a voltage-dependent nonlinear resistor porcelain in the form of a ZnO system sintered body comprising zinc oxide as a major component and at least one of rare earth element oxides, cobalt oxide, chromium oxide, at least one of Group IIIb element oxides, at least one of Group Ia element oxides, 0.01 to 2 atom % calculated as Ca of calcium oxide, and 0.001 to 0.5 atom % calculated as Si of silicon oxide as subordinate components, the atomic ratio of calcium to silicon (Ca/Si) ranging from 0.2 to 20. With the atomic ratio of calcium to silicon (Ca/Si) set between 0.2 and 20, preferably between 2 and 6, the element has a significantly increased load life at high temperature and humidity. The element experiences less deterioration of the asymmetry of its volt-ampere characteristic between different directions of DC conduction. If magnesium oxide is added to the composition in an amount of 0.05 to 10 atom % calculated as Mg, the benefits are enhanced, with grain growth suppressed and leakage current minimized even on high temperature firing.

    摘要: A piezoelectric ceramic composition which has a large electromechanical coupling factor and is excellent in heat resisting properties is provided. As additives, Cr, Al and Si are contained together in the piezoelectric ceramic composition including a perovskite compound which contains Pb, Zr and Ti as main components. Preferably, Cr, Al and Si are respectively contained in a content of 0.05 to 0.50 wt % in terms of Cr2O3, in a content of 0.005 to 1.500 wt % in terms of Al2O3, and in a content of 0.005 to 0.100 wt % in terms of SiO2. By simultaneously including these three elements and setting the contents thereof to fall within the above mentioned ranges, the electromechanical coupling factor kt can be 30% or more, and ΔFr, which is the rate of change in resonant frequency Fr between before and after application of an external thermal shock, can be 0.5% or less in absolute value.
