Abstract:
Platelet-shaped, copper-containing, metallic effect pigments which have a copper content of 60% to 100% by weight, based on the total metal content, the metal pigments having a thickness distribution as determined via thickness counting by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and represented as cumulative undersize distribution, a) with an h50 of 10 to 50 nm, and b) with an h90 of 20 to 70 nm, the platelet-shaped, copper-containing, metallic effect pigments being produced by milling a copper-containing metal powder with lubricant. The disclosure further relates to a process for producing these pigments, and also to their use, to a printing ink comprising the pigments of the invention, and to a coated article comprising these pigments.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an insulating device containing a first machine element, in particular an exhaust gas pipe, and at least one second machine element, in particular an exhaust manifold, that is connected to said first machine element and through which, in particular, a hot medium can flow and being connected to a unit. The insulating device at least partially surrounds the machine element and is connected to the unit. The aim of the invention is to further develop the claimed insulating device with a low amount of production and material expenditure such that mounting and demounting can be carried out in a simple manner and can be adapted in a problem-free manner to various types of units. According to the invention, a base plate that is connected to the unit is provided, said base plate having at least two side parts that are arranged at a distance from each other forming an intermediate area, such that a sliding part is arranged in the intermediate area and is essentially sealingly connected the base plate and to the lateral parts by profiles and is detachably connected in relation to the base plate, such that said sliding part contains a recess through which the second machine element is guided, and also a cover that can be connected to the base plate by a detachable securing element, said cover engaging with the first machine element. The cover rests upon the lower edges thereof on associated areas of the lateral parts of the base plate and/or the sliding part(s).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a connection piece for an enteral transfer system and to an enteral transfer system with such a connection piece, and also to an arrangement composed of such a transfer system and of an enteral feed probe. The connection piece according to the present invention comprises a distal attachment piece for attachment of a connection piece of a probe tube of an enteral feed probe, and a proximal attachment piece for attachment of the connection tube of a transfer system. The distal attachment piece of the connection piece is conical or is designed in stepped fashion with several portions of different diameter. The distal attachment piece can therefore be releasably connected to the funnel-shaped connection pieces of different diameter of the probe tubes of the known feed probes. The connection piece according to the present invention can be used universally in this respect. The distal attachment piece of the connection piece according to the present invention has a locking element which is designed in such a way that a releasable form-fit connection can be made to a connection piece of a probe tube of an enteral feed probe that has a locking element complementing the locking element of the distal attachment piece.
Abstract:
A vehicle sound system provides an audio signal to a speaker system. The vehicle sound system comprises a first input unit that receives a first priority value indicative of a first scope of authority that the first input unit has been assigned over the vehicle sound system. A second input unit receives a second priority value indicative of a second scope of authority the second input unit has been assigned over the vehicle sound system. A plurality of sound system generating components are capable of communicating with the first and second input units over a system bus and being selectively controlled by the first and second input units via the system bus. The first input unit comprises an input interface that allows a user to specify the first priority value.
Abstract:
In a ring-shaped MOST network installed in a motor vehicle, several units are linked to one another by several linkage sections. They function as data source, data sink, or transceiver. At least some of the units have two or more transceiver modules. To relieve the processors of such units with more than one transceiver module, only one network controller is present in such a unit for all its transceiver modules.
Abstract:
Composition comprising a hydrogenated bisglycidyl ether and a crosslinker, wherein the hydrogenated bisglycidyl ether has the formula I where R is CH3 or H, and is obtained by hydrogenation of the aromatic rings of a corresponding bisglycidyl ether of the formula II where the degree of hydrogenation is >98%, and the crosslinker has no aromatic structural elements.Process for preparing a crosslinked epoxy resin, in which the abovementioned composition is used.Crosslinked epoxy resins which can be prepared by the abovementioned process, and their uses.
Abstract:
Heterogeneous ruthenium catalyst comprising silicon dioxide as support material, wherein the catalyst surface comprises alkaline earth metal ions (M2+), process for hydrogenating a carbocyclic aromatic group to form the corresponding carbocyclic aliphatic group, in particular a process for preparing bisglycidyl ethers of the formula I where R is CH3 or H, by ring hydrogenation of the corresponding aromatic bisglycidyl ether of the formula II in which the abovementioned heterogeneous ruthenium catalyst is used, and bisglycidyl ethers of the formula I which can be prepared by the abovementioned process.
Abstract:
A convertible stadium includes a playing field, a seating area, a stationary roof structure and a large, heavy roof panel mounted for movement with respect to the stationary roof structure, A plurality of cable drums are mounted for movement together with the roof panel. Each cable drum has at least one cable wound thereabout. The cable is secured to the stationary roof structure and is payable from the respective cable drum. The system is designed so as to minimize movement between the cable and the roof panel, so there will be no possibility of frictional engagement therebetween.
Abstract:
Method of preparing a biological sample appropriate for use in a subsequent in vitro nucleic acid amplification reaction. The method involves a rapid, transient exposure to alkaline conditions which can be achieved by mixing an alkaline solution with a pH-buffered solution that includes a detergent and the biological sample to be tested for the presence of particular nucleic acid species using in vitro amplification. The invented method advantageously can improve detection of some target nucleic acids without substantially compromising detectability of others. The method is particularly useful for simultaneously preparing RNA and DNA templates that can be used in multiplex amplification reactions.
Abstract:
A method for weaving fabrics that comprise in at least some sections multiple layers, especially one-piece woven (OPW) airbags comprising single-layer, double-layer and multi-layer sections. Weaves or weave combinations are produced in the double- or multi-layer sections that are different from the plain weave.
