Abstract:
The invention relates to a wireless remote control system (100) for vehicle functions (13.1, 13.2), having a portable remote control unit (20) which comprises operator control elements for activating control signals which are exchanged with a vehicle mounted transmitter/receiver unit (11) in order to control the vehicle functions (13.1, 13.2). According to the invention, the remote control unit (20) comprises the following components: at least one first operator control element which has a predefined function of an electronic driving authorization and/or access authorization system (13.2) assigned to it, and at least one second operator control element and at least one display unit for menu prompted control of at least one ride level control system (13.1).
Abstract:
Novel indazole derivatives of the formula (I), in which R1-R3 have the meanings indicated in Claim (1), are HSP90 inhibitors and can be used for the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of diseases in which the inhibition, regulation and/or modulation of HSP90 plays a role.
Abstract:
Imidazole derivatives of the formula I in which R1 is H, A, benzyl, indan-5-yl, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-5-yl, dibenzothien-2-yl, or phenyl which is unsubstituted or mono-, di- or trisubstituted by Hal, A, A-CO—NH, benzyloxy, alkoxy, COOH or COOA, R2 is H or A, X is O or S, Hal is F, Cl, Br or I, A is alkyl with 1 to 6 C atoms, and the physiologically acceptable salts and/or solvates thereof as phosphodiesterase VII inhibitors and the use thereof for producing a pharmaceutical.
Abstract:
This invention features a method of identifying a compound useful for enhancing efficacy of a therapeutic agent. The method includes incubating a compound in blood cells; separating immune cells from erythrocytic cells; and determining the ratio of the concentration of the compound in the immune cells to the concentration of the compound in the erythrocytic cells; wherein the compound comprises a transportophore and a therapeutic agent, in which the transportophore is covalently bonded to the therapeutic agent via a bond or a linker.
Abstract:
A method, system, and computer program product for managing a heap of memory allocated to a program being executed on a data processing system is disclosed. A limited amount of memory is allocated to a program being executed by a mutator on a data processing system. The memory comprises memory objects. The disclosed method identifies memory objects, which are allocated to the program but are not referenced anymore. These dead memory objects are freed and made available for further allocation in the program. The memory objects that are still referenced are organized in compact contiguous blocks. Thus, the disclosed method recycles memory allocated to the program. The disclosed method is executed iteratively and concurrently with the execution of the program. The disclosed method does not interfere with program execution. Amount of memory required is specified before the commencement of the disclosed method and the same amount is freed without any surplus.
Abstract:
A graft for replacement of a section of an artery and methods of making the graft. The graft comprises a flexible, resilient, generally tubular external support and a blood vessel segment, e.g., a vein segment, carried within and having an ablumenal surface in contact with and supported by the tubular support, the graft being capable of resilient radial expansion in a manner mimicking the radial compliance properties of an artery.
Abstract:
Pyrrolopyrimidine derivatives of the formula I in which R3, R4, R5, R6 and X are as defined in claim 1, act as phosphodiesterase VII inhibitors and can be employed for the treatment of osteoporosis, tumours, cachexia, atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes mellitus, inflammatory processes, allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases, myocardial diseases and AIDS.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for monitoring service-intensive replaceable parts in an assembly in which information regarding a replaceable part (1), such as specifications, physical dimensions, physical properties, functions and/or other data for the replaceable part, is stored on a suitable memory component (5) in and/or on the replaceable part (1). The stored data is read with a reading device at a predetermined time or at predetermined time intervals and transmitted to an evaluation unit. The read data can be compared in the evaluation unit with preset data and, after evaluating the results of the comparison of the data, an appropriate change in the replaceable part or in the operation of the assembly may or may not be carried out.
