摘要: A large value of the radius R of the curved portion 110 of a corrugated fin 101 allows fillet portion 104 to have a large length along the length of the pipe 102 for decreasing the heat resistance between the pipe 102 and the fin 101, which makes the length of the louver portions 103 small. Contrary to this, a small value of the radius R of the curved portion 110 of a corrugated fin 101 allows louver portions 103 to have a large length, which is formed on the straight portion of the fin for increasing the heat transfer efficiency from the louver, which causes, however, the length of the fillet to be shortened. Best matching was obtained for decreasing the heat resistance and increasing the heat transfer efficiency when the radius of the curved portion is selected in a range between 0.14 mm to 0.37 mm.

摘要: An inner half cylinder and an outer half cylinder are brazed to each other to form a cylindrical header tank. Both ends of tubes are connected to the inner half cylinder. An opening of the outer half cylinder is communicated with an opening of a joint pipe. A tongue portion which is provided on the periphery of the opening of the outer half cylinder is inserted and curled in the opening of the joint pipe so as to fix the joint pipe on the outer half cylinder firmly.

摘要: A heat exchanger, such as a radiator, may transfer heat from a liquid and employ a first header tank, a second header tank, a plurality of tubes fluidly joining the first and second header tanks, and a baffle within one of the first or second header tanks. The baffle may be located in a header tank positioned substantially parallel or perpendicular to a surface upon which a vehicle employing the hear exchanger rests. The baffle may be a wall defining only one slot, a wall defining only one slot that is open through one side of the wall, a wall that defines a plurality of slots, or a wall that defines a plurality of holes. The heat exchanger may further employ fluidly isolated first and second tube and fin sections each defining a self-contained flow path for cooling different liquids. The baffle may slow coolant flow in a flow path.

摘要: A communication chamber communicated with the downstream end of a condensing part is provided within a header. A gas-liquid separation chamber is provided beside the communication chamber for separating the refrigerant into gas and liquid phases. The height of this gas-liquid separation chamber is set to be smaller than that of the communication chamber to prevent the interference of the gas-liquid separation chamber with peripheral devices of a vehicle to facilitate the installation of the condenser. Further, a refrigerant introducing means is provided at a portion corresponding to a liquid refrigerant pool part at the lower part of the gas-liquid separation chamber within the partition part for introducing the refrigerant within the communication chamber into the liquid refrigerant within the gas-liquid separation chamber.

摘要: In a refrigerant condenser including a super-cooling portion, the super cooling portion is located in the upper position of a core portion. Thus, when a vehicle engine idles, and high temperature cooling air having passed through the refrigerant condenser and the vehicle radiator is lead to the air upstream side of the condenser through the lower portion of the condenser, because the super-cooling portion is located at the upper position of the core portion, the super-cooling portion is not influenced by the high temperature air.

摘要: The module integrated type refrigerant condenser includes a roughly cylindrical right side header connected to the outlets of a plurality of condensing tubes and the inlets of a plurality of supercooling tubes, and a modulator directly connected to the right side header in the width direction of the core. By providing a partition part for dividing the second inner space into two gas-liquid separation chambers, the modulator is formed into a shape as if two roughly cylindrical pipe bodies were stacked up in the thickness direction of the core, and the width thereof is made shorter in comparison with a simple, cylindrical modulator.

摘要: A heat exchanger comprising: a core portion including a plurality of tubes; a pair of header tanks communicating with the tubes; and a pair of inserts arranged substantially parallel to the length of the tubes, and in such a manner as to contact the core portion at the ends of the core portion to transfer the heat from the core portion, and having the ends thereof supported on the header tanks; wherein a stress absorber to absorb the stress generated along the length of each insert is formed in the insert; wherein the stress absorber is formed over each insert from the upstream side to the downstream side in the air flow; and wherein the stress absorber is arranged in such a manner that the most upstream end and the most downstream end thereof in the air flow are not superposed, one on the other, along the direction of air flow.
