    摘要: An organic EL device is fabricated by a novel method to reduce the occurrence of poor luminescence in the organic EL device. An anode layer, a hole transporting layer, a luminescent layer, an electron transporting layer, and a cathode layer are laminated in this order on a substrate to form an organic EL device. In the organic EL device, the hole transporting layer is increased in thickness so that foreign particles adhering on the anode layer are substantially covered with the hole transporting layer.

    摘要: A fuel supply apparatus of an internal combustion engine is provided which can discharge air bubbles or air from within fuel supply paths while increasing pressure within a common rail up to a predetermined pressure level before a start of the internal combustion engine, can reduce a period of time of cranking from when an ignition switch is switched on and which can reduce noise that occurs when the air bubbles or air are being discharged.The fuel supply apparatus is provided with a flow rate control valve that adjusts a flow rate of fuel supplied to the common rail and a pressure control valve that reduces the pressure within the common rail. The fuel supply apparatus is further provided with: a pre-start drive control portion that performs a pre-start drive of an electromagnetic low pressure pump before the start of the internal combustion engine; a flow rate control valve control portion that maintains the flow rate control valve in an open state while the pre-start drive is being performed; and a pressure control valve control portion that maintains the pressure control valve in a closed state and performs a control that opens the pressure control valve at least once for a short time period while the pre-start drive is being performed.

    摘要: An organic EL panel is provided, which is manufactured without scratching an organic layer. An organic luminescent layer is formed by evaporating an organic luminescent material over a hole injecting electrode by placing a mask used to evaporate a luminescent layer to be kept spaced apart from a substrate. By placing the mask while a bottom surface thereof is brought into contact with top surfaces of spacers, it is possible to space apart the mask from a hole transporting layer formed over the substrate.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a ferroelectric memory includes: (a) forming first and second contact sections on a first dielectric layer formed above a base substrate; (b) forming a laminated body having a lower electrode, a ferroelectric layer and an upper electrode successively laminated; (c) forming a conductive hard mask above the laminated body and etching an area of the laminated body exposed through the hard mask, to thereby form a ferroelectric capacitor above the first contact section; (d) forming above the first dielectric layer a second dielectric layer that covers the hard mask, the ferroelectric capacitor and the second contact section; (e) forming a contact hole in the second dielectric layer which exposes the second contact section; (f) providing a conductive layer in an area including the contact hole for forming a third contact section; and (g) polishing the conductive layer and the second dielectric layer until the hard mask above the ferroelectric capacitor is exposed.

    摘要: A method of determining the color difference between two similar colors including the steps of determining the tristimulus values for a reference color with which another color is to be compared, providing a planar chromaticity diagram for the values other than brightness in which the values for the reference colors are at the origin and the abscissa and ordinates of the diagram, determining the hue of the reference color and plotting in said diagram an equi-hue line, determining the tristimulus values for the other color to be compared to the reference color and plotting the values other than brightness on the diagram, plotting an equi-saturation line on the diagram perpendicular to the equi-hue line and extending through the origin, plotting lines parallel to the equi-hue and equi-saturation lines through the position of the plotted values for the other color and extending across the equi-hue and equi-saturation lines, so that the difference in the tristimulus values for the other color from the reference color are shown by measurements along said parallel lines. In addition, a brightness line is provided having the brightness value of the reference color at the center of the line with values of greater brightness on one side of the center and values of less brightness on the other side of the center, and plotting the brightness of the other color on the line, whereby the difference in brightness for the other color from the reference color is shown by measurement along the line.
