摘要: Provides method and systems to simplify processing and improve processing speed for validation of an XML document. In an example embodiment, a non-deterministic automaton is generated by a binary tree automaton generation module from a document type definition described by hedge grammar. Furthermore, a deterministic binary tree automaton is generated by a determination module, and a deterministic binary tree automaton of which transition function δ is minimized by a minimization module is generated. This minimum deterministic binary tree automaton is used to validate an XML document with a validation module. When the XML document is normally accepted by the binary tree automaton, validation results wherein the XML document is reasonable are outputted.

摘要: A vehicle including a variable gear ratio steering device and an electric power steering apparatus is disclosed. The variable gear ratio steering device influences on a steering system of the vehicle and varies a ratio of a steering angle of steerable road wheels to a steering wheel angle by driving an electric motor in accordance with a vehicle speed. The electric power steering apparatus influences on the steering system of the vehicle and provides an assist steering wheel torque by driving an electric motor in accordance with a manual steering wheel torque. The vehicle comprises a power supply voltage detector for detecting a voltage of a power supply, and a control unit for controlling the electric motor of said variable gear ratio steering device in accordance with the detected voltage. When the detected voltage decreases to a certain voltage or lower, the control unit brings the variable gear ratio steering device into a slow state and thereafter stops the same.

摘要: An electronic appliance, in addition to being of the type that is connected to another electronic appliance by way of a signal line and that permits the other electronic appliance to recognize establishment of connection between them on the basis of the voltage level on the signal line, allows this voltage level to be varied with the signal line kept connected. A signal terminal for connecting the signal line and a supplied-power line for supplying a voltage having a predetermined level are connected through a pull-up resistor and a transistor connected in series. The transistor is controlled by a controller so that, even after the electronic appliance starts receiving electric power, the transistor will be kept in a non-conducting state and thus the voltage on the supplied-power line will not be supplied to the signal terminal until the operation of various portions of the electronic appliance has been stabilized. The transistor may be controlled by being fed with a control signal from the outside.

摘要: A document retaining section retains a structured document in which a logical structure and a layout structure are correlated with each other by using embedding nodes each being inserted between a unit logical node and a logical node immediately above the unit logical node and representing a corresponding relationship between the unit logical node and a unit layout node, and mold nodes provided in place of respective unit layout nodes. A document processing section is capable of processing a partial logical structure of the document retained by the document retaining section together with a partial layout structure corresponding to the partial logical structure.

摘要: In a fault diagnosis or a process simulation arrangement, data is held on first interactions between attributes of a part and between attributes of a parent part and a child part according to object parts in a parts data base. Data on an order for executing processes and data on a process model describing each process operation as second interactions between attributes of a medium and a part used in the process operation are held in a process model memory. In the fault diagnosis, fault statuses of attributes of parts and media used in each process are determined as candidates for causes of effecting statuses of attributes corresponding to the fault of the following process in reverse order of the execution order held in the process model memory using model based reasoning by referring to the first and second interaction relationships and statuses of attributes of the parts and the media determined in the following process. The attributes of the parts and the media may be expressed as a tree structure. The simulation is performed by determining statuses of attributes of parts and media used in each process sequentially in the execution order held in the process model memory using model based reasoning by referring to the first and second interactions and statuses of the parts and media determined in a preceding process.

摘要: A liquid crystal device is disclosed wherein a pair of liquid crystal supporting plates each having a molecular alignment controlling film formed thereon through the Langmuir-Blodgett method singly orlaminatedly a monomolecular film having as a main component a polyamide compound having a long-chain alkyl substituent in its side chain and a property to overspread a surface of water to form a monomolecular film is oppositely held via a spacer which is adhered on the side on which the molecular alignment controlling film is formed, and a liquid crystal material is injected and held into the space produced between the films thus oppositely held to each other thereby to align the molecules of liquid crystal to the azimuth parallel to the dipping direction of the substrate. A liquid crystal device thus manufactured exhibits a uniform and indefective molecular alignment condition.
