    Abstract: Provided are a polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition having high wetting ability and superior adherability and light peelability, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet produced with such a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition includes a polyester obtained by polycondensation of a difunctional or polyfunctional carboxylic acid and a diol; a fatty acid ester; and a crosslinking agent, wherein the polyester has a weight average molecular weight of 8,500 to 50,000, and the fatty acid ester has no additional functional group and has a molecular weight of 200 to 700. The polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains 10 to 150 parts by weight of the fatty acid ester based on 100 parts by weight of the polyester.

    Abstract: A surface protective pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, which includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer obtained by crosslinking a polymer-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a surface that has a hardness of 0.1 MPa or more and a load curve with a minimum load of −0.3 μN or less as measured by nanoindentation, and which has a residual adhesive strength of 50% or more, wherein the residual adhesive strength is calculated from the formula: residual adhesive strength (%)=100×[(adhesive strength B)/(adhesive strength A)], wherein adhesive strength A and adhesive strength B are as identified in the specification.

    Abstract: Provided are: a polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which can be produced even from plant-derived raw materials with no need of using a costly silicone-based pressure-sensitive adhesive or the like and which is usable for producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet excellent in wettability to an adherend, light peelability, removability, anti-staining property (little adhesive residues), and workability, and to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet using the composition. A polyester-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising a polyester obtained by condensation polymerization of at least a dicarboxylic acid having a side chain and an aliphatic diol having 3 to 10 carbon atoms and a crosslinking agent, wherein the polyester has a weight average molecular weight of 5000 to 60000.
