Abstract:
A method comprises receiving a handover request from a source BS, the handover request comprising a request for a handover of a UE involved in at least two QoS flows using a first MRB with the source BS, wherein the apparatus is using at least a second MRB for other UEs; starting to buffer packets for the UE; receiving a subsequent message comprising, for each of the at least two QoS flows, a CN SN of a first packet not transmitted by the source BS for that QoS flow; identifying a second packet with the highest protocol entity SN according to a protocol entity transmission order of the second MRB among packets which the source BS has delivered to the UE using the first MRB and the apparatus has transmitted to the other UEs using the second MRB; and transmitting a message configuring the UE to use the second MRB.
Abstract:
There is disclosed method for a network apparatus, the method comprising configuring the network apparatus to use a first transmit and/or receive pattern selected from a plurality of available transmit and/or receive patterns for performing discovery procedures with another network apparatus, wherein the first transmit and/or receive pattern is selected from said plurality in dependence on at least the mobility of said network apparatus and/or on the relative mobility of said network apparatus to said another network apparatus.
Abstract:
Implementations of advanced frequency synchronization in a mobile integrated access backhaul deployment are disclosed. An apparatus includes at least one processor, and at least one non-transitory memory including computer program code, wherein the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform: estimate a change in a propagation delay at two time instants, measure a time period of the two time instants using a local clock of a network node, wherein the two time instants correspond to a known timing of a received signal, subtract the change of the propagation delay from the measured time period, calculate a difference between the subtracted time period and a known timing of the received signal; and convert the difference to a frequency offset value to synchronize downlink transmission frequency between the network node and a parent node.
Abstract:
It is provided a method, comprising monitoring if an assignment packet is received by a new node from a parent node; setting, if the assignment packet is received, a new value of an identifier for determining if a first packet of a first layer protocol is intended for the new node; wherein the assignment packet comprises the new value of the identifier; the assignment packet is a packet of the first layer protocol; the assignment packet comprises a header of the first layer protocol.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a User Equipment UE, which establishes connection with a macro eNB (or master eNB) and a small cell eNB (or secondary eNB), measures channel quality (CQI) of a signal received from the small cell eNB, derives a second channel quality based on the measured channel quality of the signal received from the small cell eNB, transmits information associated with the measured channel quality of the signal to the small cell eNB and transmits information associated with the second channel quality to the macro eNB.
Abstract:
According to an example embodiment, a network device is configured to: generate an indicator based on at least one of an activation status of a multicast session or a data inactivity status; and transmit the indicator to a client device, wherein the indicator indicates to the client device whether the client device should wait for a paging message for the multicast session and stop monitoring data of the multicast session while the client device is in an inactive state.
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for enhancement on the IAB network. The method comprises: receiving, at a first network device and from a first central device for controlling the first network device, a first message comprising configuration information about at least one of duplication and de-duplication for a packet at backhaul adaptation protocol, BAP, layer; and communicating, based on the configuration information, the packet with a group of second network devices and the first central device in an integrated access and backhaul, IAB, network. By duplicating uplink and downlink data associated with terminal devices in the IAB network at BAP level, the reliability and resiliency of backhaul links can be improved.
Abstract:
A method comprising determining with an apparatus, where the apparatus comprises a user equipment in an inactive state or an idle state, that a scheduling is activated in a cell, where the user equipment has not received scheduling activation regarding the scheduling activated in the cell, and where the user equipment has selected the cell; based upon the determining that the scheduling is activated in the cell, sending, with the user equipment, a signal to a network element, where the signal is configured to request activation of the scheduling; receiving scheduling activation from the network element in response to the signal, and upon receiving the scheduling activation, receiving data according to the scheduling.
Abstract:
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method, comprising determining by an apparatus, while the apparatus is in an inactive state and receiving a multicast service from a cell of a first wireless network node, that there is no delivery for the multicast service for user equipments in the inactive state in a cell of a second wireless network node, wherein the cell of the second wireless network node is a target cell intended by the apparatus for camping, transmitting to the first wireless network node by the apparatus, based on said determination, a request for reconnection to the cell of the first wireless network node and transmitting by the apparatus, to the first wireless network node, an indication indicating that the request is for reconnecting for service continuity of the multicast service.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for changing MRB ID without requiring release and add functions. One method may include receiving, by a user equipment, a RRC reconfiguration message from a network entity comprising a MRB. The MRB is identified by a first MRB ID, and the RRC reconfiguration message further comprises a second MRB ID associated with the first MRB ID. The user equipment associates the MRB with the second MRB ID configured for subsequent identification of the MRB. The user equipment receives MBS data through the MRB associated with the second MRB ID.
