摘要: A turbine blade cascade structure includes a plurality of blades arranged in series in a circumferential direction on a wall surface, in which a corner portion defined by the wall surface and a front edge portion of each of blade bodies supported by the wall surface, to which a working fluid flows, includes a cover portion (fillet) that extends toward an upstream side of a flow of the working fluid. The turbine blade cascade structure is capable of reducing the secondary flow loss of the secondary flow in spite of the fluctuation of an incident angle of the working fluid flowing to the front edge portion of the blade body.

摘要: An electronic control unit for a vehicle-mounted engine system has a computer and a single program memory. The program memory stores a plurality of functionally finely classified programs, which includes programs to be used in common between a normal engine control mode and a fuel evaporation leak diagnosis mode. The plurality of programs is associated, as a reference table, with the plurality of different control modes by separating programs required for the respective control modes. The computer sequentially executes only programs associated with the designated control mode, when any of the control modes is designated.

摘要: A navigation apparatus acquires weather information along a navigation route to a destination from an information center and calculates an importance that is assigned to the weather information based on a predetermined criterion as well as a determination mode and a travel purpose inputted from a user. The importance of the weather information may be calculated by employing an importance calculation table that defines importance of the weather information itself or the importance of the weather information relative to the navigation route. The importance of the weather information is used to extract a required part of the weather information for providing the user with the information. The weather information extraction may be performed according to a criterion such as extracting the weather information with a certain importance level or higher, extracting the weather information of top n th importance, or the like.

摘要: In a course of updating old map data on a hard disk drive to new map data, a low-priority portion of the old map data that has less importance/necessity is deleted to create a vacant area, and a high-priority portion of the new map data is copied to the vacant area as an update of the map data. Then, the high-priority portion of the old map data is deleted to create another vacant area, and a low-priority portion of the new map data is copied to the vacant area. During the update of the map data, restrictions on the usage of the map data are avoided at all efforts by having the high-priority portion of at least one of the new map data and the old map data maintained on the hard disk drive, while maximizing the utilization of storage resources in a map data management apparatus.
