    摘要: A polymeric suture anchor for deployment in a preformed bone hole to secure soft tissue to bone in a knotless manner. The suture anchor comprises a hollow outer member and a hollow inner member longitudinally movable within the outer member. Suture is directed along a tortuous path distally through the lumens of both the inner and outer members, transversely across an eyelet situated at the distal end of the inner member and proximally through the lumens of both the inner and outer members. A suture-locking mechanism is provided along the tortuous path to crimp the suture by placing the anchor in a suture locked configuration. This is accomplished by moving the inner member proximally relative to the outer member in order to engage the suture-locking mechanism. The anchor is maintained in this configuration by the engagement of interlocking surfaces on the inner and outer members. Simultaneously, the inner member is provided with radially outwardly extending prongs which pass through slots in the outer member in order to engage bone surrounding the bone hole.

    摘要: A knotless suture anchor and method for its insertion into tissue are provided. The suture anchor includes an inner member including a proximal shaft and a distal securing member shaped to secure the inner member to the tissue, the proximal shaft including a first locking part and at least one hole extending therethrough for receiving the suture thread; and a collar member including an axial bore shaped to receive the proximal shaft of the inner member, a second locking part, and at least one hole extending therethrough and assigned to the hole of the proximal shaft of the inner member, the collar member being axially slidable into unlocked and locked positions relative to the proximal shaft of the inner member, the collar member being relatively axially slidable into the locked position only to secure the suture thread. The hole of the collar member is aligned with the hole of the proximal shaft of the inner member when the collar member is placed into the unlocked position, the hole of the collar member is misaligned with the hole of the proximal shaft of the inner member when the collar member is placed into the locked position, and the first locking part of the proximal shaft engages with the second locking part of the collar member to axially lock the collar member with respect to the proximal shaft when the collar member is placed into the locked position.

    摘要: The subject invention is a fixation device or anchor intended to secure a graft ligament or other soft tissue repair. The device is designed to be attached to a graft ligament and to secure the graft within a bone tunnel by extending transversely across the opening of the tunnel. In certain procedures the device is intended to pass through a bone tunnel in an orientation generally aligned with the tunnel and then turn transversely. The device has an inherent tendency to rotate upon exiting the tunnel to thereby become automatically transversely aligned with the tunnel and the graft ligament. The rotation is due to a moment automatically created as a resultant of forces applied to the anchor by a pulling-suture via a laterally offset aperture joining the pulling-suture to the anchor.

    摘要: A detachable and replaceable end effector assembly. The detachable mechanism is made of standard end effectors attached to an actuating tip and pinned inside a yoke assembly. Replacement is made by pulling back a spring loaded radial lock 90, to disengage two rear tabs 51 on the outer tip 50. The yoke assembly is then rotated 90 degrees to disengage the rear yoke pin 9 from the tubular shaft 70. This rotation of 90 degrees also unlocks the T-bar 45 from the front "T" slot of the long actuator 80. The end effector or jaw assembly is then free to be pulled away from the remainder of the shaft. In addition there is a bayonet connection to hold the parts together and prevent accidental disconnection.

The holder secures a conventional remote control unit within a holder by employing elastic bands along the length of the holder allowing securement of various size remote control units. Enlarged corners are provided for protecting the remote controller from damage should it be dropped on a hard surface. Along one end of the holder is placed a fluorescent like material allowing the holder to glow in the dark. Electrical circuitry is provided which is made operational upon the holder being moved or whenever a television is started up by receipt of a predetermined electromagnetic field radiated from the horizontal deflection coils of the cathode-ray tube. A movable light source is provided for rotation over a key pad of a secured remote controller for illumination in low level lighting.

    摘要: A drill bit has a cylindrical proximal end coupled to a driving device with a central axis of rotation about which the proximal end rotates. A distal portion of the drill bit is a cutting device attached to the proximal end in such a way that it extends outside the periphery of the proximal end for a distance less than the entirety of the circumference of the proximal end. A guide wire extends through a passageway in the bit and is provided to create a pilot hole before the distal portion enlarges that hole. With this configuration of the cutting device, it is possible to position the cutting device in the distal portion in a direction facing away from the medial femoral condyle so that the proximal end of the drill bit can slide past the medial femoral condyle, with its axis of rotation much closer to that condyle than would be the case in prior art drill bits.
