摘要: The invention concerns a device for attaching soft tissue to bone tissue, e.g. a broken ligament or ligament graft (1), comprising a flexible wire (10) provided with several corpuscles (9, 9′, 9″) fixed along the length of same, and a screw (8) capable of engaging with said corpuscles of the wire (10) when screwed into a bone tunnel (4) by blocking them between the screw pitch and the bone tissue. The wire is capable of forming a free loop (2) for receiving said soft tissue, e.g. a ligament graft, the two branches of said loop being provided with said corpuscles. The wire can also be provided with a closed loop or a crimped needle. The screw is a cannulated screw for receiving a guide pin (6).

摘要: Systems and methods for soft tissue to bone repairs, without knot tying. The soft tissue repair systems include self-cinching constructs with splices, loops and inserts that are pre-loaded onto knotless anchors to position the self-locking, adjustable construct at the repair site. The splice incorporates an insert in the form of a flexible strand with at least one barb, or simply in the form of a cut length of suture or braid that is inserted into the center of the cinching loop to create a thicker portion. When the cinching loop is tightened, the insert prevents loosening of the loop, locking in the cinching loop and preventing movement of the loop.

摘要: Disclosed herein are methods and devices for securing soft tissue to a rigid material such as bone. A tissue anchoring device is described that comprises an anchor body and a spreader such that tissue may be captured or compressed between outside surfaces on the anchor and inside surfaces of a bone tunnel to secure the tissue within the tunnel. An anchoring device is described that comprises an anchor body having compressible tabs with teeth, and a spreader that forces the compressible tabs into an expanded state when inserted into anchor body, facilitating engagement between bone and the teeth of the compressible tabs. Also described is an inserter tool that can be used to insert the anchor into bone and move the spreader within the anchor to expand the anchor and capture the tissue between the anchor and the bone. Methods are described that enable use of the bone anchoring device to secure a tissue graft into the tibial and femoral bones during anterior cruciate ligament (“ACL”) reconstruction.

摘要: Devices and methods for soft tissue reconstruction are provided. One exemplary embodiment of a device includes a body a suture filament extending through through-holes formed in the body. The suture is formed into an overhand knot having three collapsible openings with filament limbs extending from the knot. The limbs can be passed through the thru-holes of the body and selectively into the collapsible openings of the overhand knot to form coils extending to an opposite side of the body. For example, one limb can be passed through first and second collapsible openings to form two coils, while the other limb can be passed through the first and third collapsible openings to form two coils. The collapsible openings are collapsed around the limbs disposed in the openings, resulting in a secured overhand knot. Other configurations of knots, as well as devices and methods for use in tissue reconstruction, are also provided.

摘要: A connector for attaching a connective tissue to bone includes a sling for supporting and holding the connective tissue. A trap generally cooperates with the sling. The trap includes an anchor end and a sling end and a generally tubular section configured to decrease in diameter upon application of a longitudinal tensile force. The trap is dimensioned to fit within a tunnel through bone so that the connective tissue emerges from one end of the tunnel and so that an interference screw can be inserted into the tubular section at the anchor end of the trap at the other end of the tunnel whereby a pulling force exerted on the sling causes the generally tubular section of the trap to constrict more tightly about the interference screw to prevent slippage and to deter withdrawal of the trap from the tunnel.

摘要: Various methods and devices are provided for a graft fixation device for fixing a graft member within a bone tunnel. In one embodiment, a graft fixation device is provided having a radially expandable sheath adapted to be disposed within a bone tunnel, and a sheath expander adapted to be received within the radially expandable sheath to expand the sheath and thereby anchor a graft between the sheath and the bone tunnel. In an exemplary embodiment, the graft fixation device is particularly useful to affix a graft within a femoral tunnel.

摘要: A surgical procedure for inducing continuous compressive force across two components includes inserting a braided superelastic wire through a first end of a channel that from a first component to a second component. The braided superelastic wire includes an unstretched length in a contracted state. The procedure also includes anchoring the braided superelastic wire at a second end of the channel opposite the first end and applying a predetermined amount of axial tension to the braided superelastic wire adjacent the second end of the channel. The axial tension stretches the braided superelastic wire to a stretched state having a stretched length that is longer than the unstretched length. The procedure also includes securing at least one free end of the braided superelastic wire adjacent the second end of the channel to maintain the predetermined amount of axial tension along the braided superelastic wire across the first component and the second component. The braided superelastic wire is configured to be biased toward the contracted state when in the stretched state such that a compressive spring force is applied by the wire while in the stretched state.
